Which castlevania game do you think has funnest bunch of bosses meaning the coolest and funnest bosses to play?
My personal vote on wich game has the funnest bosses is Symphony of the night.
-
Umm no way in hell I think SotN has the funnest. Several of them are two-hit-kills :o
As much as I love the game..... NO
I'm gonna have to think longer on this though. It's hard to pick one.
-
Super Castlevania IV would have to be my pick, honestly.
Followed by CV64/LoD
-
The original! But nowadays, I'll pick Dawn of Sorrow.
Paranoia is cool, so is Gergoth! Aguni (i pronounce it "agony") was cool but he should've been harder.

As hated as the DS titles are, everyone will agree that the bosses were really cool.
I would normally pick DoS just for Gergoth and Menace, as well as Aguni and the gay red-head-sadist-bondage-slave. Death was very cool too.
But PoR had so much more bosses which all were really good. A giantic werewolf, behemoth, Dullahan, the creature had a great comeback, Brauner certainly was cool, Medusa was very very cool and it had the best Dracula in my opinion. Sadly death was lame.
-
DoS had more interesting bosses, in PoR's bosses were executed better IMO.
-
I thoght Gaibon and Slogra in SotN were awesome. The one problem with them is that they had such huge weaknesses that can easily be exploited.
-
It's funny, I recently played Symphony of the Night and I hardly remember some of the bosses. The most memorable being Beelzebub and Legion.
As for best all around? I would have to say Portrait of Ruin, much as I hate/love it.

CVIII and SuperCVIV.
CVIII and IV had the Vipers, and in III it took careful platform placement for you to take 'em out.
It also had the Three Coffins... blargh (although Sypha makes those bosses cake).
Koranot in the Endless Tower (CV4) was awesome. And don't forget Slogra & Gaibon came out of CV4 and they were much tougher back then.
-
I think I'm gonna have tot pick my favorite 3 for now:
Cv64 : for its constant stream of tough bosses/mini-bosses (though part of the difficulty came from dealing with camera and control issues -- the boss designs were very cool, mixing in a good amount of secondary vampires).
DoS: for it's over-the-top boss showdowns, and fantastic special effects
RoB: for its sheer variety of bosses, and the intense, multi-round showdown with Shaft.

was just about to say rondo myself. like mentioned, stage 6 is essentially a boss rush. then add the dxc version, with the final form of dracula, the succubus, and the hydra...
-
Noone said COTM yet? That has to be it for me, followed by DOS.
-
I loved Medusa in LOI. She looked amazing.

She did.

That had more life, and you had less mobility. Not to mention, they didn't have their incredible stupidity to merge with each otehr after every damn hit on Slogra.
I agree that they were harder though, but the team up, I thought was cool, just that... it was a failure, how they did it.
-
Medusa in LoI? you mean the one where shes a giant flying head?
I can't remember alot of CotM but Dracula's final form was pretty awesome in that.
-
Yeah but a very cool looking giant floating head; with tough maneuvers to dodge, too.
Come to think of it, the PS2 CVs had their fair share of awesome bosses, too. How bout the impressive giant Wyvern or the Minotaur that tears pillars off of the stage to use as a club in CoD? Or the Forgotten One in LoI?
On that note, I'm gonna add CoD to my favorite-bosses list.
I told you I can't pick just one :(

Ageed.

I really liked the behemoth fight in CV64. It was so awesome, how the flesh burned away, and how it lost it's lower part and shot light-beams and stuff. Very cool. Besides that I can't remember a single boss that was noteworthy in any way in N64 games.
In CoD... Well, the Wyvern was cool, but other than that... Even Dracs 2nd was... totally unamusing.
Scv4 had great bosses like the Viper and the last stage before Drac being kind of a boss rush.
-
CV64's also had:
- Serpent
- Giant Skeleton (fight him a couple oftimes)
- Lord of the manor
- Cerberus (ok I actually hate fighting this fuck, though, or should I say all 5 of them)
- Frankenstein's monster (him and his little dogs too D:)
- Actrise
- Harpy
- THE most epic Behemoth showdown
- (Double) White Dragons
- Werewolf (mini boss)
- Renon
- 3 forms of Dracula
....
actually... there's so many it's hard to name them all.

Yeah, and still behemoth is the only one noteworthy.
-
Dullahan was neat in CoD too :3
-
Curse of Darkness. I think it has the most character battles, which are my favorites.
-
Legend of Demon Castle, all the bosses kick ass, especially the multiple boss fights.
-
I agree with SoTN mainly beacuse that pretty much every boss is from mythology not just demons that konami made up.
