i'd love to get ahold of an early ROM for Super Castlevania IV to be able to play some of the levels and against some of the creatures that were found the commercial.  never gonna happen, i guess, oh well.

"Battle across a bridge... THROUGH A ROOM... and a stable..."

LMFAO!!! That sounds soooo epic, haha!

EDIT:

The Super CV 4 ad reminds me a lot of this:

That commercial was nothing like the actual CV4.  There shouldn't be advertisements until the final version of the game is complete so that there is no big let down if something  advertised and was a part of the beta version is not in the actual released game.

I'm playing hard mode in Castlevania IV on Wii right now.  it'd be cool if one of those creatures found in the commercial showed up.  yeah right.

The Medusa-style thingy that digs itself into the ground looks very cool. ;_;

Seemingly the line was once blurred between advertisements and strategy guides.

And the LoI one looks nice, although it is rather inaccurate - for a game released in 2003, describing 1094 as "a thousand years ago" isn't really right. "A thousand" sounds more dramatic than "nine hundred and nine" or even "nine hundred", but it's still a bit of a generalisation.

And presumably the coffin spoken of by the narrator is Elisabeta's?

I think too much. I think.

I think the coffin thing was just mean to add to the atmosphere, and fit the game.

I just love the way the guy says "THOUGH A ROOM". Its as if your expected to gasp dramatically after hearing it.

Expected reactions:
Battle across a bridge...
"..."

THROUGH A ROOM...
*Dramatic gasp*

And a stable!
"ho-ly crap!"

I dont think that 2nd vid was a tv commercial. 1) its too long 2) At the end it said it would equal "mind-blowing sales". I think its some sort of sales movie. Although he fail horribly it does sound like a sales pitch. Why konami would use such an old build is beyond me. However i did notice that the first boss was much more difficult to hit. (the skeleton horse head moved around and shot a lot more.

Also the JP CV4 commercial made me lol.

Why on earth did that last Japanese commercial have that random girl with the whip, and pointless shots of her bust and hips?! The older ads might have been cheesy and even inaccurate, but that last one was probably the worst Castlevania ad ever. It looked like some crappy ad you'd see on Spike TV.

Glad you enjoy our videos... or at least get a kick out of them.  It would have been nice if we had the CV64 commercial.

Oh, I remember that one! It had a "Dwelling of Doom" remix playing the background while the characters did some cool moves, right? I think it might be available on this site...

Yeah the user "ChapelofResonance"" in Youtube is one of the other cool Castlevania sites/forums out there, as pointed out by Successor (who is admin of said site/forum).  I just noticed that.  I figured I'd mention it since he did, heh.  You probably didn't know though.  Check out his sig for a link there.

Hey hey, there was a pretty cool Zelda: Link's Awakening commercial back in the day that had some HipHop/Rap music playing, and was actually pretty enjoyable.

Did they even need advertisement?
