... and it says there's a chance it might come to theaters instead of being direct to DVD!  ;D

So this is going to be a cartoon movie of CV3?  Awesome!!  I would prefer that it go to DVD right away.  I just hate movie theaters.  Besides, I have a plasma screen tv.  Does anyone know when this will be released or how accurate it will be compared to the game?

I can't wait.  I think that it will be a lot better than the live action movie being made soon.

Well about fuckin' time!

I really see no reason for this to have a theatrical release. Direct to DVD will be better for it. And then maybe Cartoon Network will play it in the future.

Well, whether or not it ever airs on Cartoon Network depends on what the movie is rated and if it is appropriate for younger viewers.  I think that it would more likely air on Adultswim, which is what Cartoon Network becomes from 11pm-6am.

I would see this in theaters. I refuse to pay for the live-action one, though.

If they air it on Adult Swim, even they would cut the language considerably, as well as major sexual situations and nudity. The gore would probably stay, though(Metapocalypse is pretty hefty with pure gore). Of course, that's IF.

Theater release is something strange. Rarely do adult-oriented animated movies make it to theater. It happens, but not all that often.

I wonder what kind of animation this will be... better not be your average kiddy-style western cartoon. Hopefully, a gothy-er anime style, but more like the art on the top of the blog. And I would prefer a theatrical release. I mean, if it's direct-to-dvd, it's, like obscure and under appreciated. If it's in the theaters, at least it's more... famous. Plus, the ticket stub becomes a collectible!  ;D

You mean like Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust?  Yeah, I hope the animation is like that, too.

I'm all for a theatrical release, even though it would probably mean me driving down to Minneapolis to see it since it likely wouldn't get a wide release.

And yeah, I have high hopes for this project. Hopefully it won't disappoint.

I think they should seek out this guy to do the music:

Awesome, goat fucking on the big screen... actually now that I think of it, just due to that scene, powergoat would be perfect for the soundtrack.  ;D

No kidding. Of course, he'd have to arrange his stuff a bit differently, to fit a movie. Trevor's Reflection would be prefect as-is, though, for a montage.

Iunno. Goat's got talent, sure, but he's kinda flaky on stuff. He never really updated regularly, and after the CV3 project he promised a remake of Tragic Prince and Simon's theme, but then shut down the forum and no word has been heard of these remixes since. Hell he hasn't updated since March. I even emailed him awhile back asking about Tragic Prince in particular and he said something along the lines of "not being in any particular hurry to put it out". The reply seemed like he didn't care anymore and didn't want to put it out.

I'd love to see the ZREO team try a Castlevania score though.

Do they have any CV remixes yet that I could sample?

Nah they don't but just the range that they've done of stuff and the materials they have would be interesting to see put to use on a CV song.

I never thought of it being released in the theaters.  Odd, I doubt it will have a wide release.

I am just glad they finally updated, I had given up hope on this one.  I am really looking forward to this one, especially since it's based on Trevor and CV3, but I've been let down so many times before... it's a believe it when I see it.

Hopefully they make it.
