Title: I never considered myself a lucky person but...
Post by: CVfan13 on August 30, 2008, 01:24:54 PM
... you won't believe what I got for five dollars at a garage sale:

If you can't tell, that's an NES with twp controllers, a Nintendo Zapper, some Nintendo satellite thing(which seems to work like the GC's "Wavebird" combined with PS2's multi-tap), and 22 games ALL COMPLETE IN BOX! I'll be selling most of it, because half the games aren't worth keeping and I already have the system.... so, that's another $50-100 in my wallet. The most hilarious part is that the woman selling it had:
Quote
Classic Nintendo System $50.00 $35.00 $20.00
written on the box, and when she saw I was looking at it all, she couldn't believe anyone was still interested in it and said "$5, you can have it ALL!". I don't mean to brag, I'm just really excited...

Didya testem?

Even for a hundred bucks I would be too lazy to bother selling them and they aren't worth any money to me to buy them either. Nice find though.

Yep, I tested it all, cleaned them up too, and it's all perfect. Some people just don't know what things are worth.

I've been going to as many garage sales as I possibly could all summer long looking for things just like this, and found NOTHING! Strange thing is, I never find any at the ones that look good, but when I saw this one, and it looked like CRAP, I found... a gold mine... but with late 80's electronics. You just have to keep looking, and eventually, you'll hit a Jackpot. Now, all I need are some old Legos.  ;)

I would sell the stuff for between $50-100 like you
said via ebay or the classifieds in a newspaper then
I would send the woman $25 anonymously and give
$10 to Charity or a food pantry.

But hey that's just me  ;)
