I didn't know. So there's the face behind "Wicked Child", my all-time favorite Castlevania tune.

If she is then she should be brought back into making music for CV.
-
i didn't realize women in Castlevania production went that far back.
-
Kyoot. :3
-
Was she like 5 when she made the music for the original Castlevania? She looks young.
-
Japanese women always tend to look young. Besides, it's not like she's 70 years old or something. She was probably in her early 20s when she did the music for Castlevania (she mentions doing it immediately after graduating from university, as apparently most of the rest of the Castlevania staff did), which would only put her somewhere in her mid 40s.
-
I'll agree that she looks cute and that she must be arounf 40 years old!!!
-
I'd say the picture is a little older.
-
Here she is with a guy that's a "friend" on her page.

The picture is recent. There would be no reason for her to upload a whole series of pictures from ten, twenty years ago on her freaking MySpace. Who would do something like that?
It's not like 45 is an old age where people look all wrinkled and decrepit.
-
She...she's taken?!
NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOO
-
She looks like she likes 'em young cause the guy she's with is in his early 20s. ;D

he looks like a damn retard is what he looks like... Howd he net a hot asian cougar like that is what I wanna know. Maybe a former composer for CV is now a mail order bride?
-
He LOOKS like a retard, but he appears to be big into soul and old movies, so that probably has something to do with it. He's probably a real big charmer, despite looking like a worthless junkie.
-
He doesn't look too bad to me. He just looks like a dull regular guy imo.

Maybe because he is white. I mean there is a stereotype that asian chicks only go after white dudes. LOL :P

How did you track her down? Amazing.
-
Whoa guys. O_o What makes this guy that incredibly ugly for you? And why does it matter what he looks like anyway?

Gr8, now ask for a date! :o
-
She's so nice ;_;
Well, maybe it's a Japanese politeness thing...c_c
-
Ha ha, she left the exact same message on my MySpace. :) Must be a copy and paste sorta deal.

I found her name on Wikipedia (as well as Kurt's "Who's Who in Castlevania" list), and it mentioned she did the music for the first Castlevania, so I was interested in seeing what she looks like. :o
So I did a bit of searching, found an in-game picture for the credits of some game, then found her website and a really cute picture there, and THEN found her MySpace after a few pages in on a Google search, and proceeded to drool all over. :)
I am jealous of that guy. :(
-
Also, this picture makes me insanely happy:

Touchin' the keys, mouse in other hand, mixer behind her, AND A NINTENDO DS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. :D
I hope I get a hot Asian cougar one of these days. o. o

...
:o

They should hire her to work on another Castlevania game.

S'what I was thinking (and I told her, too). That would be mint/tits/swell/awesome.
Apparently she did the soundtrack for Mega Man X3, but I dunno yet if that's the SNES or CD version.
-
sweet.
at least she cares to reply. So many people refuse to reply to fans, it's nice to see that she cares somewhat.

It was probably the SNES version.
By CD version you mean ps-x, right?
-

The game also came out for Saturn and PC, so that's why I said CD version and not PSX. :o
-
Nice find!
Her slideshow says she did the music for Esper Dream too, another Konami FDS game. I never played it, was the music any good?
-
In Reply To #34
I played Esper Dream (IGA in fact mentions it one of his interviews). The music was standard for the era, nothing too special.
-
Congrats on finding one of our longtime friends from the original CV team. Wow. ;-;
Its fun to find out that maybe someday the team could come back together. Plus who knows, maybe she might "take back the night". I really miss her compositions in CV, its been so long.

WOW! no clue she looks great for her age.
-
she could've been a hag and i'd still hit that, just for making the best music to fit the series :P. hell, i got the castlevania 1 victory theme as my cell ring tone.
-
I thought Kinuyo Yamashita is a male since the name is sounds a bit masculine to me ::), she must be in early or mid 40s judging on her looks.
-
Indeed, she is an amazing composure; just listening to some of her new songs brings that "emotion" back again.
Even though her past work was done in a simple format, a noble hearted song can be remembered forever. =D
