and it should be 2.5D for consoles  (VP2 proves how beautiful and fluid 2.5D can look and still play great like any 2-D game.)
that way, the 3-D would make it easier to include
character creation.
or if it's 2-D, they can provide easy to use tools to
draw our own sprites for the main character, and name
them whatever we want.  and choose one of 3 fighting styles (classic Belmont style, SOTN equipment style, or OoE's magic/glyph style.)
and the other part of this special CV game would be the
scene creator, so we can choose at which points a
cutscene would take place, and we can write up the text,
and well it would be too complicated to draw our own high quality portraits of the characters with a controller,
and there would be no way to upload drawings from PC,
so I guess it would just be texted based kinda like SOTN, but without the portraits.
and then the 3rd part of the CV maker game should be of
course the castle creator, and people can make, shape,
and link rooms together.  place enemies, traps, items,
etc.  etc.
and of course the special rooms are reserved for the
bosses.
and then there would be a cool part where players can
go through their bestiary and edit each enemy, set their attributes,  but a.i. wise, I think that should be preset.
but yeah, I think that would really revolutionize the way
we play CV games, making up our own characters, story,
level design, and overall CV experience.
it really can be done, it's really up to them if they would
do somethin' like this, maybe even after they've done so
many CVs that they don't know what else to come up with.   ;D

Heh, sort of like the Brawl stage creator, or the LittleBigPlanet creator... only with robust 2D platforming that is Castlevania-oriented, huh.

			-
It would need some sort of Boss Creation software as well in order to truly work, but it's a good idea.

			-
yeah for boss creation, they could simply allow editing the existing 8-12 bosses.  so there would practically be 8-12 types of boss a.i. and patterns to choose from, and players can work around that building their own graphics or palette swaps for their own bosses.
and like the other rooms in the castle, they can place the boss rooms anywhere they want.

Only 8-12? That seems kinda weenie to me...

maybe some people don't want to spend all day in a castle

			-
I mean only 8-12 choices for the Boss AI. 8-12 in one individual game is fine, though.
Lawl, Shadow of the CastleVania.

				All rooms are Galamoth.
No double jump.
Broadsword only.
FINAL DESTINATION.

Have you seen fan games lately? I don't think I'd wanna play almost anything that comes out of the warped minds of the fans.

Yes. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/tenshousouhazan/richiter.jpg)

...What in god's name is that mess?
Someone needs to make a Castlevania-style Devil May Cry fangame. Yup. >.>;;

			-
That is not a fan game. That is a rom hack.

That amazing, non-mess-like hack is Harmony of Dissonance: Revenge of the Findesiecle.

It doesn't matter if you do or not. Having more variety isn't going to make you make more. It'll just allow more variety, and possibly a better made stage, boss, etc.

They are scared enough with the fan games.
Giving the chance to all us to make our own stories would ruin it or would make them rich lol

			-
				For User-created content...
You should probably had mention: "make it like LittleBigPlanet".
The level creator mode for Megaman Powered-up(PSP) would work out too.

			-
A lot of the user lvls in LBP are crap, particularly the homage ones.  The few good homage ones I have played are the G.O.W. and gradius insipered stages

			-
I mentioned LBP for its user-created content freedom, not for
the utter crap people make most of the time in it. XD

if they gave us a creator, we wouldn't need them anymore!  ;D
