Title: Some question regarding SOTN.
Post by: GradeAbra on December 10, 2008, 01:57:07 AM
Well do you think Konami is going to release Saturn version of SOTN on other console soon?

Secondly is there any other game has Dragon Spell that look like the one Maria uses in the Saturn version of SOTN?

No, they'll probably never re-release the Saturn version, it sucks and Iga hates it.

I think there is something that looks like that spell in Gradius, if that counts

they already released a superior dxc version, why would they want to rerelease the worst out of all sotn ports?

I liked the enemies in those two areas when I emulated it. They looked cool, even though some of them were weird as hell.

they didn't fit the rest of sotn's original bestiary at all though. most of them were goofy looking enemies you would see in kid dracula or other joke game.

but i guess to each his own.

Does Maria's Dragon in the DXC version the same as the one in Saturn? PSP version Maria is weak.

it's probably similar.

and hey, at least maria being weaker than richter ups the challenge in an already very easy game. saturn on the other hand ridiculously overpowered and broke her, making a very easy game a cakewalk.

i mean, i think maria is a pretty cool guy, seh kills bosses with one attack and doesn't afraid of anything.

You didn't like those "mini deaths" in the little connecting area from Marble Gallery to that underground area?

Does Chidori attack look exactly the same as Saturn Maria attack or much cooler looking? Does she has any blue dragon attack? Which Naruto game are you talking about? The PSP one?

They wouldn't need to re-release it.

Would have been better than Saturn's ugly stretched graphics.

I really hate Richter's alternate outfit in Saturn, looks obvious that it was rushed >:(

Yeah, everything looks like crap in the Saturn version!

Yeah but "Chaconne c.moll" was the shit.

Also, Maria was still an interesting character to play, but she was too strong. The DXC one feels more balanced, if a bit more tame, but something had to give.

However, I just think the cons of the Saturn version (pointless new areas and sprites, worse loading, dumbed-down alpha effects and a tediously accessed map screen) outweigh its small strengths, but I still think every CV SotN fan should at least try it.
