With Namco's Tales of Hearts RPG being one the first major DS titles to use the system's full 256MB cartridge size, do you think it's only a matter of before Konami rolls out a zomg epichuge portable Metroidvania? Or do you think they would just use the extra space for better music, larger sprites, etc. if they used it at all?
In comparison, Order of Eclessia only uses 64MB.

I think they should def. utilize the full cart size. They could do so much with all that space. PS3 games need to do this too with Bluray discs, use all the available space wasting it kind of defeats the purpose of going next gen in the first place.
I'll go with this one.

It would also be awesome if Nintendo made some sort of extra RAM cart like those for the Saturn or N64, so they could add... that much more stuff, I guess.

I agree with you. I can wait for two years (24 months) if they are going to use extra MB for making the game better and longer and not another copy paste.

I definitely, whole-heartedly, agree that the games really really need to use the full capacity size of the cartridge, at minimum to justify the expense of buying those cartridge at that storage-size price.
However, for Castlevania, I'd rather not have a game which require too much stylus control. One, it's tedious, two, it can cost you your stylus if you're playing it in a busy public place </trauma>. I definitely only want those extra MBs wasted on graphics, game areas, audio, item list etc and not the coding for the touch screen.

the coding for a touch screen would probably easily fit even on a snes cart. there's really no reason for it to take more than 4 mb. :o
i want cd quality music. expanding the cart size from 64 to 256 mb would more than likely give them enough space to store some prerecorded music for streaming.

I feel like I'm one of the only people here who can actually be satisfied with these games anymore. It seems like nobody is ever happy.
It's kind of dissapointing! :-[

How about if they made a DS Castlevania exclusive for the the DSi? I heard from somewhere that it maybe possible that the DSi could have power that is kind of like GCN.

it's just an updated ds with bigger screens (but the same internal resolution, so it's probably just lower resolution screens to display the things bigger) and cameras, as well as no gba slot. i haven't seen any cpu/gpu updates on the compare lists.
