Supposedly this game was only released in America, I live in Canada, and my friend went to America just to nab this game and other random stuff. He didn't like it, so he gave it to me for free.
-
That's awesome.
I bought it for $30 from eBay.
That's a great price for that game, what you got there.
-
Thank god I have at least $11 left on my $20 PSN card.

I got SotN in a similar way. A manager where I used to work didn't like SotN (original, not GH), so he just gave it to me.

oh, finally. it'll be good to play both Chronicles games on the PSP. you can put this on your psp, can't you?

Yes, you can.

anyone willing to spare a free download slot for us poor folk

I remember when this game came out, I had heard about it only a few weeks before it was released. I didn't know what it was a remake of, and didn't care I was just excited for a new CV.
I picked mine up brand new at EB, I still remember seeing it on the shelf for the first time and grabbing it so fast. $30 was a good deal for such a good game!
....sorry for the ramble!
But it's great that its on PSN now, but there's something very nice about having a physical copy
-
I already own the original CD, but hell, I'm buying this! I can put it on my PSP too!
-
this was the first game I ever bought at a gamestop. I remember when the clerk looked at me weird and repeated me after I asked "Do you guys sell new games?"
LOL
I thought that gamestop only sold 2nd hand copies
-
I don't see anything on the playstation network web page for this game...

What I hate about GameStop is going in there to buy a new game, requesting a new game, then seeing the person behind the counter turn around, take a disc out of a sleeve, then proceed to walk to the back room to shrink-wrap it. Argh!

What does that have to do with the 14th reply (http://castlevania.classicgaming.gamespy.com/forums/index.php?topic=1816.msg33317#msg33317) in this topic? :o

Haha...
...they don't even shrink wrap it at mine. It's the way they store discs to reduce stealing that they open the new ones in the first place, so the one here doesn't bother to cover-up that fact.
I guess maybe if you complained enough they would... I could see that sort of thing being important if you're gifting.

Well, I had played with the menus for about a half hour, with no luck. I see the HD remix of Street Fighter II is out, so I might have to get that one.
It's not at the playstation network's "New Releases" page:
http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Store/20104#{%22__s%22%3A{%22id%22%3A%22newreleases%22}}
It's not at playstation network's "Downloadable Games" page:
http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Store/20104#{%22__s%22%3A{%22id%22%3A%22downloadablegames%22}}
It seems like these menu options are for "featured content" only and only show a sample of what's available. I can't seem to find the list of "all" downloadable games though. Maybe I need a PS3 to actually download Castlevania Chronicles??? Heck, I can't figure out how to download "any" game from the playstation store website to put on the PSP, so I'm either in the totally wrong place or need some weird secondary account or need a PS3 or maybe I can download it directly from the PSP somehow???
I did a search for Castlevania and nothing for this game showed up.

He probably meant to reply to my comment, which was above comment 14. ;D

um, yep. i'm about ready to spend $400 on a PS3 to get a $6 download... or not. it would stink if I decided to get a PS3 though with the hopes of that new Alucard game coming on it, only for them to cancel the game though. then I'd know how dreamcast owners felt. i'd better hold out a bit longer just in case.
-
Or you could try going to the PSN icon on your PSP? You can download stuff on there. No need for a PS3.

Wow, I had no idea we could go to the PSN store on the PSP. Shows how much time I spend online with mine, I guess. In other news, I'm absolutely adoring CV Chronicles on my PSP and PS3. Too bad the PSP has such awful blurring, it really knocks the game down a few notches and makes an already difficult game much more challenging.

Yeah PSP blurring can really affect some games.

I heard if you don't have Wi-Fi, you can download to your PC from the Playstation Store and then transfer to your PSP via USB and a program called 'Media Manager for PSP 3.0.' (Just have to track that program down...)
QUESTION: How much Memory Stick Duo space does a game like Castlevania Chronicles take up? (Will I have to get a new memory stick to play it?)
Thanks! Looking forward to playing this semi-obscure gem!
