This is about music you would like to hear in a CV game that has to do with non Castlevania music. Don't answer with a song like Bloody Tears. No I am saying I would like to hear something like Sober from Tool.
I have a list of songs that I am going to periodically add to.
Tell me what songs you would like to see in a future installment.
1 A Thriller Remix - Pervert I mean Michael Jackson
2 Sober - Tool
3 Blood For Blood - KillArmy
4 Dirty Creature - Split Enz
5 Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
6 Everlong - Foo Fighters
7 Diary Of A Madman - Ozzy Osburne
Some of these songs are hokey I admit but I think that they could be worked in somehow. Tell me what you think.

I like the Foo Fighter song, but other than that my taste in music wouldn't go well with Castlevania. Maybe some Joy Division would fit, or possibly "Black Mirror" by The Arcade Fire. Or sum Broken Social Scene perhaps. :D
Classic music is always good for CV though.

:o
Ummm --no... The very idea of pop music invading my gameplay is ... offensive. It makes sense for GTA but not Castlevania.
-
Pop music? Seriously?
-
He obviously didn't mean pop music as in Britney Spears. Look at his own list for crrrrrying out loud. :P

I know that, and I don't know how it makes it any better.

Pop music? Seriously?
Ditto.
Let's leave that to the movie :P

While I have nothing against this music, I would have to say that this idea would turn me and probably a lot of other hardcore fans away from the series. I agree that the series is a little stale, but this would be a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. It would be fine for some homebrew CV games, but not with the ones that Konami makes.
If you who support idea want the experience, I suggest just downloading the music on your iPods and listening to them while you play the games with the volume turned all the way down.

Anything that exists in the Ys series would be awesome.
Also, anything that sounds like Ys would be. :P
-
halloween theme for death's area would be tight.
-
Almost anything by Nightwish. Their new stuff is really great.

None. Absolutely no pop music. Anything with lyrics is automatically out. And the bottom line is that I don't want anything that wasn't specifically created for CV to be in CV, unless it's a baroque-ish classical tune like Passpied or Chromatic Fantasy.
-
Let me restate it. If you were to sample any music be it metal, grunge or even classical what sample would you use in a Castlevania game? Rael Imperial is right. No lyrics should ever be in Castlevania songs. I guess what I am really trying to say is some beats from songs I have heard over the years would fit into a Castlevania game nicely. Dirty Creature has a beat that would fit nicely (IMO) into a game but it would just be the music.

Opeth - they're very dark and epic. I would put this song in a Castlevania game as the main riff reminds me of Bloody Tears slightly! Alot of people can't get past the death metal vocals but there is clean singing aswell, they are an amazing band in my opinion.

I'd like to tack Epica up there as a personal choice along with Nightwish.

Maybe some of Linkin Park's old stuff
