Apparently, the live-action movie is merely being held up by a writer's strike, however that information  is at least a month or two old by now, so one wonders if the writers merely died of starvation whilst striking... :-X

This is, however, the first I hath heard of an anime, as nubish as that mightst make me sound...

It's an animation written by revered comic book writer Warren Ellis.

According to the last update in August of 2008, some people were interested in making this a full-length feature film instead of a direct-to-DVD feature. In other words, this could get released in theaters. Damn, that would rock.
Let's hope the lack of recent updates doesn't mean the project's dead.

I'm more curious to know WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE MOVIE WORST CASE SCENARIO as I've been waiting forever for it to come out. Seriously, it's been in development for like six or seven years and updates are sparse.

The animated CV movie/series/whatever has potential to be cool. I'm (sort of) looking forward to it.
