Here's a high quality trailer of Spirit Tracks from the Nintendo Channel. Well, I can't wait to see more of it, hopefully Nintendo puts in more of a challenge than Phantom Hourglass. It's nice to see that Hyrule now has trains.
BR edit: don't use tags for Youtube vids, all you need is the link. ;)

NEW ZELDAAAAAAAAA!!!
ME WANTS
I was expecting the train to go a bit faster, though...but eh.
Interesting to see he's not in the same clothes all of the time. In a storyline sense, too, not as an extra a la WW. And it looks like they'll be using different items. PH has a surprisingly "classic" set of items, I actually think it had nothing new.
It's true, the leaf is almost directly taken from WW, but I do hope it's a sign of a different arsenal.
Again,
ME WANTS

Thanks for the head's up! BUT...does Nintendo even know what The Legend of Zelda is anymore? I'm sorry, but they're starting to turn Link into Mickey Mouse. "He's a pirate...no, wait...he's a train conductor!" It seems more of an excuse to have a central new stylus/travel element than anything. Still, I'm a sucker for LoZ, so I'll be getting this. :P
The "leaf" item, while not totally in the classic territory, still doesn't seem all that "new" to me. Even the Gust Jar seemed more unique from Minish Cap. It looks like the boomerang and that staff from Twilight Princess that can move statues are in here, too. ...I hope we get more "newness" than just the train (which seems like a gimmick more than an innovation). Also, logo needs a train somewhere. :D
Well, at least Link's back on land. Maybe there will be more to do this time around.

they need to bring zelda into the future era where you fight cyber ganon.

I haven't finish the first yet. It's nice that they are making a new one, but i don't like that much the touch screen controls. Anyway, you can't have it all now, can you?

I HATED the Temple of the Ocean King. It ruined everything. I never finished Phantom Hourglass because of it. Not that it was particularly hard, but it was so frustrating and boring to visit the same dungeon over and over and over again. It wasn't fun! I also hate time limits in games. I want to take my time.
I never really cared for sailing either, so Spirit Tracks already looks like a better game.

they should release the cd-i games on virtual console!!!
:)

Zelda has wandered so far from its roots, and pissed all over its own continuity so many times now --it's become a really sick joke. Zelda has gone from Lord of Rings to Dora the Explorer. And it is truly sad. Twilight Princess was a step in the right direction, but too little too late IMO. The whole franchise needs a serious, hardcore reboot --no more of these silly gimmicks.

I really liked the graphics in Wind Waker when it was first released, and I still think it's a great-looking game, but now the whole style is beginning to feel a little annoying. I guess I would be fine with these gimmicky little DS Zeldas if I knew the main series was still gong strong on consoles, but... this IS the main series now.
And yes, Twilight Princess was definitely a step in the right direction. I prefer it over Ocarina of Time, but I understand why some people find it too similar. It would've made a much greater impact had it not been delayed for so many.. years, was it? Still, it was a beautiful adventure with a fantastic world to explore, albeit a familiar one.
Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Wii Zelda is something in the vein of Spirit Tracks... It may very well be a good game, but I long for something a little darker...

That's why i stopped playing it.

This game looks miles better than Phantom Hourglass. That game was alright but it struck me as gimmicky at a lot of times. Plus the Ocean dungeon and the crazy woman on the pirate ship really did nothing much.

The only thing they were good for was making youtube poops.

All I want from Nintendo is a Twilight Princess-esque remake of A Link to the Past.
Or a new serious Zelda game with no gimmicks
EX: TP thing with the wolf
WW The sailing
MM The 3 day crap
I just want classic Zelda! Is that so much to ask for?
Also, where was some new Mario info?

I restate that a gimmick-less Zelda game would be great to have. But, technically, only Zelda 1, 2, and Link's Awakening were gimmick free and all about adventure. Even the awesome Link to the Past had the Light World/Dark World with the Magic Mirror (it was a new idea at the time, and well executed, but it still was a gimmick-type element that came to define how the game was played and mastered).
Anyways, yeah, a new DS Mario should be in development by now, I'd hope. Maybe E3 will tell us something.

A gimmick-less Zelda would have some good points, but also some bad.
On one hand, we'd have a pure Zelda experience, complete without anything to detract from the central adventure.
On the other, it'd be awfully dull without anything to make it different from the others, nothing new to hold onto. And admit it: Zelda needs some change, so deliberatly throwing away any new features would be one of the worst things that could be done with it.
So, what I really want is a Zelda game with some kind of gimmick that doesn't just add a little variety, but rather radically changes the whole game. Or just re-new the whole formula, perhaps in a SotN-esque fashion.

You may have a point, but I want to throw out what a gimmick-less Zelda might mean: New equipment and areas (and not in a halfhearted sense). In the three Zeldas that aren't run by a central gimmick, each earned item doesn't have a one-use-only policy attached to it. Each item goes beyond the dungeons, and you have to combine what abilities each item gives you, rather than focusing on one item, say, the Wind Waker baton, to guide your travels.
The glory of gimmick-less is the freshness and usefulness of the items, and how they can be used to awaken the secrets of varied environments. The creativity falls on making a stash of items that are new enough that can be used in a variety of scenarios. In an ideal situation, the world will be set up as one sprawling map like Zelda 2, where a number of valuable things are hidden off the beaten path. (IE: NOT the rupee-filled voids of Twilight Princess).

I definitely want a new Zelda title that goes back to it's roots IE Zelda I, II and AlttP. While I've enjoyed playing some of the other more later games I honestly think that Nintendo is sacrificing or drowning out the main quest of the hero with a bunch of side quests that, in my opinion waste time just to make the game seem longer. I'd rather play a Zelda game that's like the Zelda III concept but with all new and proper Zelda gimmics the all fans would love and accept.

You got an art image up on screen. :P ...Really, though, I didn't want any more of it spoiled. Miyamoto said in a round table discussion on IGN that he wanted to reiterate that there will be lots of train riding (not sure if that's good or bad).
But, more importantly, Miyamoto announced 'Zelda Wii' is deep in development with a more mature Link than ever before; also, it will likely highlight WiiMotion Plus-style gameplay! ;D

Yay Motionplus for Zelda! It will be freaking awesome to use that with sword fights.
