Dracula gains control of the whip?
Like in the 1999 game
remember julius loses his whip during that time
So could Dracula actually figure out a way to some how obtain it and use it by possessing it?

Maybe that's how Julius got his hands on the whip? Maybe he snatched it bac from Drac?
-
Short of a really, really huge retcon, wouldn't simply holding the whip pretty much vaporize Dracula's current incarnation instantly?
Being an object of pure blessed holy power and whatnot.

Ah, touche. Yeah, if there's gonna be a plot twist, it probably shouldn't involve Dracula holding the VK.

First of all, Drac wouldn't be able to hold it and secondly Julius didn't lose the whip. He just sealed it in the castle to weaken the spirit of castle.

You guys are not understanding what I am saying.
What if drac gets the whip possessed or violated with dark power that will enable him to take it?
What would happen then?

Hm.. the vampire killer is effective against darkness. So if the whip instead went dark, it would be effective against the Belmonts. Everything would be reversed. BUT wouldn't that mean the whip would be weak against Alucard and he could just.. take it back to the Belmonts..? XD I don't think it would matter anyway. With whip of darkness or not, Dracula would still get his ass kicked since whoever slays him doesn't nessesarily need the vampire killer.
That would be my conclusion though. If something as terrible as the vampire killer being stolen would happen - Alucard to the rescue!

I thought if anyone was to use it, Alucard might be able to due to being a half-breed and being "pure of heart" and all that lark. Although I don't think he'd look as good with a whip, unless maybe 'twas something akin to barbed-wire. ;)

Hmm...then drac's chooool WHhooiipp whill bhe called Vampire Killer Killer!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Drac you're a king and crap...man im just a big stupid mooch.

Everyone and their grandma kills Dracula nowadays. I enjoyed how Shanoa couldn't do it. If you guys want a real plot twist how about you get killed by Dracula at the end of the game but you get to see the current Belmont pick up the slack. He'd better be cool dammit.

I think you're not understanding that explaining how Dracula would suddenly be able to corrupt or destroy an object of God--the very thing that's immune to his influence and weakness him--would be fairly complicated, and can't just happen because it's a "cool" plot device.
But just to humor the idea, if Dracula had the ability to mend something as powerful as the Vampire Killer for his own hands, what would be keeping him from just jumping over the Belmont roadblock entirely and destroying the Church head-on with its own weapons?

"But Boss what if the fans complain?"

IGA:"Just do as I say mmk!"

Too bad IGA actually cares about the series.

Let me guess:

I already acknowledged it would take a giant retcon.

Not sure, since I only read the summary. However, Superboy practically had no weaknesses before that anyways (Magic barely affected him and red suns don't affect him at all.) Then again, maybe it was that he was no longer affected by Kryptonite, because I think I remember there being something in Infinite Crisis about his Krypton never exploding to begin with, thus no Kryptonite to affect him.
...Oh, yeah, thought I should probably mention this is Superboy Prime, not the Superboy from the Teen Titans.

Superboy Prime
Oh, the American comic book version of Shinn Asuka. I've heard of him.
Seems I was right about the "incomprehensibly retarded storytelling" category.

Nah, Shinn's too big of a pussy to be Superboy Prime. I think a better comparison would be if Kira Zeus Yamato turned evil.
