Who thinks this is an excellent, OK or bad idea? a castlevania compilation for both PS3 and XBox 360 that includes LoD; both as is and revamped, CotM; revamped and original, CV legends; original and revamped and finally the canceled dreamcast CV game finished and updated?

Would be great, except it doesn't need Legends, and that Dreamcast game should never, ever exist, because it was a shitty idea from the start
-
Wasn't the Dreamcast game basically just the Legends plot in 3D?

Not really. It involved Time Travel and a new Belmont, Victor.

A new Belmont, Victor, who was a pansy and tried to run away from his destiny, until Sonia comes from the past to change his mind! Awful idea!

This is essentially a compilation of games that never saw the light of day or have been omitted from the series by IGA's ego. As far as I know these are the only ones that came to mind.

Yeah I'm totally sure it was his ego, instead of that other explanation that actually makes sense. You know, the one with them being intended as alternate story games as explained by their individual directors.
Well, except Legends which contradicted the existing timeline set by the rest of the games anyway. Not that Legends was a good game.

I seem to remember IGA saying way back in the day, Konami was planning a CV1-3 collection for the SNES ala Mario All-Stars (or for a better comparison, the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy). Don't know why it was canceled; probably for the same reason as the Rondo SNES direct port - because it was simply too awesome for the human mind to contain. Or something. I don't understand Konami.

I'd love to see them remake Legacy of Darkness. Really good game, I'd also love to see Resurection get resurected again, the dreamcast game. Plus a revamp of COTM would be great, very under appreciated castleroid.

Regardless of whether or not the concept was good, I still want to play Resurrection. Compared to the shovelware IGA's been putting out lately, I'm sure it can't be that bad.
And I enjoyed Legends. I'd love to see a revival.
For kicks, they should throw Kid Dracula into the mix, as well.

Rats! Forgot to mention the Kid Dracula games too. >:(

Speaking of a CV1-3 SNES revamp... Back in the day when I was full of CV spunk,(1991 or 1992) I had written a letter to Nintendo asking them if they would consider porting the three CV NES games over to the SNES with updated graphics, music, sounds, etc. I was rather taken by Mario All-stars success at the time. I did get a reply but they said they had no plans for such a release. However they did say that a Castlevania 5 was slated to be released very soon. Turns out it would that CV5 was actually Bloodlines for the Genesis...or it was CV Dracula X for the SNES. Either way, talk about coincidence. I'd almost forgotten about that letter till you reminded me. :)

A revamp of Castlevania 1 - 3 would be awesome! While they're at it they could throw in the Adventure games as well.

I thought "Bloodletting" was just the working title for the very early in development Symphony, rather than it being a cancelled game.

I don't like the idea because I'm tired of empty castlevanai games, I want games that add something to the storyline.
Still, in a while, It could be good :)
