that would be interesting. and no I don't mean budget titles like fat princess. :p
well you know Saints Row 2 is the only game I know that allows control over women gaining weight, even though it isn't the natural way. well yeah of course the Smackdown vs. Raw series as well. and well Timesplitters FP had the fat characters cheat.
but overall, it's pretty rare finding videogames with that kind of feature. But just imagine if high quality RPGs liek FFXIII involved weight gaining in its story and maybe even battle/growth systems. that really would be awesome stuff. even mmorpgs haven't simulated that yet.
but yeah, it's just an amusing subject that needs more
creative attention in the videogame industry. :)

Shadow Hearts: From the New World features a character(female vampire) who's weight/appearance changes depending on her blood calorie intake. In her different weights, she gains different stats(I believe her fat form makes her more magically potent, while skinny form is more physically strong). I haven't played the game in a LONG while, so I'm not certain.

What the hell does it matter to have a game where your character gains weight or not? I don;t think seeing "weight gain" as a feature for a game would be a selling point for any game
-
Eri and Fio can get fat in Metal slug and you get "Super shots" while you are. Being fat is a bonus!

It's one factor of life that doesn't need to be imitated through interactive media.
I'd rather they spend time / worry more about AI and frame rates.
Unless the game's concept itself revolves around weight gain somehow, like growing bigger in The Maw does.
I mean what's next: are we gonna throw in skin-irritations and bathroom cycles?
One thing I do support is more weight-realistic models and characters in some games.

It's been done. Sims.

Bizarre sexual fetishes like that will not and should not be included in mainstream RPGs.
-
I think it might be problematic, considering the outcry over 'Fat Princess'...

If you want to see people gain weight then look no further then SNK's Metal Slug series. If you collect too much food then a voice comes on saying "whoaw Fat!" And you look like a big ball with legs that can't move very well.

Why only women?
Anyway, in Fable II you can both play as a woman and put on lots of weight by eating pie :D

The only other game that I can think of is not an RPG though it contains some of it's elements. And the women do get fat if you want them to. It's called The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. I know they aren't RPGs but Depending on how you make them live their lives...they can get fat.
