From those what we already heard ones, like Slash, Cross a Fear, Red Dawn(Don't know if this is the new stage's trackname or not) and etc.
Has the new blood done anything fresh or continued the legacy? :)
-
I haven't hear them all yet, but I really like Beginning.
BTW: Nice avatar. Zhao Yun rocks, but is no match for the mightly Lu Bu! :P

While I think it's inferior to its DoS version, I like how Dance of Illusions opts for a more epic feeling. I never did like RoB's version. :P
I actually like this new version of Beginning, considering I've never liked the song before. o_O
And I'm glad that got rid of that stupid thump-thump in Cemetary.
-
It feels incredibly fresh.
I've heard about 12 tracks, and each of them was very enjoyable. The only one that I truly have any angst against was the Boss theme.
-
I've heard 13 tracks and most of them sound great!!
What i don't like is the remix of cemetary. Also the boss theme is great and dance of illusions remix rock's!!

Dance of Illusions really was great. That was perhaps one of the most energetic and best renditions ever made of it. I would go as far as saying it was better than the original.
-
I really enjoy the game's mix of Dance of Illusions as well.

While I think it's inferior to its DoS version...
Really? How so? Aside with the fact that the music in DXC is superior in terms of sound quality, I feel that Dance of Illusions in DXC is a far more elaborate and creative version than that which was featured in Dawn of Sorrow.

*Shrug* I think the DoS version was more powerful in its effect.

I can't really argue much with opinion. I guess it's just a differentiation in taste. :D That's what makes all the remixes fun, because it gives us all something new to enjoy...until the remixing gets WAY old...
-
I heard about half of them, and I quite frankly don't like them that much. Michuru Yamane is seriously slipping over the years.
Now the originals, they NEVER get old. Thank god there's supposed to be a music selection option.

This time it isn't precisely Michiru, but primerely her newbies. She hired a bunch of underdogs to remix things for her while she worked on a few of the tracks and also composed a new ending for Symphony.
Regarding that, I will now ever-so eloquently state my opinion: THANK FREAKING WHIPPIN' GOODNESS GOOD RIDDANCE YA CRAPPY SONG!!!!
I'm overjoyed about the termination of "I am the Wind". More like "I am the flatulance of uninspiration" That song was garbage!
-
From what I've heard, the music sounds awesome!!! I can't wait for this game!!

:P And just because I know how excited you are about this: Also SotN will finally be in your possession.

By themselves, I rather liked the remixed versions of the older songs.. which were remixed from older songs previously. Hm. The Rondo only music remixes seemed to range from could be better to pretty good.
The music to me fits quite well with the remade stages it is associated with, the whole package fits together fine with me.
The only stage (overall) that didnt fit was the new stage, and the music (Red Dawn) along with it. The whole thing just sticks out like a sore thumb, especially the serpent boss.

I seem to be the only who loves I am the Wind and will truly miss it. :|

You are not alone.
That song had personality. You just don't get that anymore with games nowadays...
-
The song had absurd lyrics and was severely out of place.

But it was the beauty of those absurd lyrics that made it great.

??? Aww come on Azmodan. Generally I agree with you on things, but this time I'm on a polar opposite. I thought that song was the most atrocious thing to grace any Castlevania.
Ture to your Dreams, yes. Now that was song that just FIT. It had, depth, personality, vocals to match the gloriousness that the game "tried" to have, and it was an all around amazing song with enough absurdity and cliche to match the meal.
However, I am the wind had crappy lyrics that were just absurdly misplaced, strange trumpeting that just scratched at the ear, and a level of melodrama that was beyond ridiculous. It was overall unappealing. It felt more like a song you'd see in a dramatic moment of Pokemon film, than something that should conclude that's considered the high peak of a game series. It just didn't work for me. :X

Outside of joking, I would've been happy with the bonus Dracula's Castle remix.

Hmm...the Dracula's Castle remix seems to be skipping my mind. Can you link me to it, or just tell me where to find it? I honestly had a memory loss on it... ???

The track that'd play when you put the disc in a CD player. Following Al's warning, you know, "As you can see, this is a Playstation black disc." and all that.

Heheh, I still think that Alucard's voice was just oozing with cool. Seemed like something akin to Vampire Hunter D and what the author wrote about him in the books, "Anyone's knees might get weak in his presence." That's how Al's voice is. I love how deep, and slightly nasal it was. ;D :-* PERFECT voice-actor for him!
And that track was indeed awesome. I'm amazed it wasn't on the soundtrack to be honest...:(
-
I wonder how Alucard's new voice sounds like.

Don't know, but probably not as amazingly cool.

on topic, anyone have any DXC rondo remixes?
been searching for a while, but to no avail.

I got you covered. I PM'd you.

I heard "I am the Wind" in a Youtube video (since, as most of you know by now, I don't have SotN) and I love it. But I can't belive it won't be in DXC!! :'(
-
I am the wind? This is an intruder on SotN, a disgrace. I can`t believe that this song was on SotN disc! What were they thinking? I am glad that they removed it for the PSP version. OK, someone may like the song but it is definitely not appropiate for a Castlevania game.
-
Lots of strong opinions on the old ending song.
Apparently Japanese fans agree, those Cynthia Harrel "I am the wind" singles on Yahoo Japan never sell =)
(even as a collector, I have trouble wanting to buy it)
-
I always hated it too. I couldnt even sit thru the credits while it played I was glad when I beat the XBLA version to hear the other song.
-
I'm glad "I Am the Wind" won't be in this. The song was a Kenny G reject and it didn't fit into Castlevania at all. And I love the soundtrack so far, except for Cementary.
-
I'm liking almost all the new remixes to Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, Beginning, etc. Bloodlines and Picture of a Ghost Ship are still kind of enjoyable to listen to but, could have been done better. Cemetary, I don't really like, the original I feel is better.
Also, Red Dawn is quite epic.

You are right, I am th Wind isn't anyhing that should be in any castlevania game ever, but I just like cause I like it.
-
:( I actually sort of kind of like Cemetery.
The only thing I dislike greatly is the PreBoss music, and the Boss music's allright, but could have been much much better.
