Despite the general bad rap that Judgment has gotten, it's still the first Castlevania crossover. That, in itself, is good enough for me. While a lot of stuff could be better, I think the overall result was a very good game, especially for fans of the series.
Anyway... I'd like to hear all of your predictions for (if) Konami makes a second Judgment! Characters, stages, items/subweapons, anything.
My first thoughts:
New characters would include at least Soma, Shaft, and Richter.
They would balance the characters- i.e. make Shanoa less broken, Golem and Dracula more useful.
They would improve Castle mode to the point that it could be considered a 3D Castlevania for Wii by itself. (That's wishful thinking, though...)
Perhaps new music options would be added, like being able to choose which song plays for each character. (Because I don't want Bloody Tears limited to Carmilla.)

why

It won't be made anytime soon, it did not sell enough.

Yeah, it's not going to be likely, but what would you improve?
I'm basically making a rhetorical thread.

hey, great, a new thread to talk on during this Castlevania Event all-nighter. i'm still kind of half-expecting them to make a Konami mascot game sequel to Judgment. *shrugs*

Even tho it sounds like there won't be a judgment 2. At least Kojima could push Smash Bros to have Gabriel from CV:LoS

- clocktower
- library
- throne room
- abyss
- forbidden area (like on a ship or something)
- atlantis
- castle corridor
- arena
- cemetary
- chapel
- ballroom
- floating gardens (make it a bit more platform-y)

- underground reservoir
- that funny box thing that you fight shaft in
i could go on forever, shows how unlikely this is...

It's unlikely that a sequel will be made soon if at all. But I pretty much agree with all of you. Also, I found something on devientart.com that applies to the CV Judgment.

Considering how well it sold (1800 copies in Japan and not that much more in America.), I doubt there will be a sequel.

Tsk tsk tsk. Not a mention of Slogra so far.

Thread title was a false alarm.

hmm urite. Maybe he's unlockable.

Prediction? Well, the first Judgment only sold about 80,000 or so copies, which means it likely did not make back the money that it cost Konami to produce and distribute the game. It got a composite rating of 49 on Metacritic, meaning it received generally negative reviews from the press. And on top of it being a commercial and critical failure, they just announced that the Castlevania franchise is being completely rebooted under a different producer and different development team. Its unlikely that they would want to do anything to undermine the new direction of the series, since they are likely sinking major marketing dollars into this Castlevania "rebirth".
So my prediction for Castlevania Judgment 2 is that there isn't a chance in hell we will ever see a Castlevania Judgment 2.
