Yeah he and a former Charlie's Angel, Farrah Fawcett, died on the same day. He was the King of Pop, she the sex symbol of the 70's, both died 2 days after Ed "Here's Johnny" McMahon.

R.I.P. MJ, may your music live on.

Holy fucking shit. One of those people I expected to live for a long time, for whatever reason.

This is bullshit. I hope whoever made fun of him before has one of their eyes fall out. Michael Jackson was the greatest song writer/musician/artist ever. No one will ever be able to match him for as long as the Earth remains in orbit.

RIP MJ. As creepy as you were, you more than made up for it with your art.

Really strange, I've always thought he'd live a lot longer than 50.

"Only in America can you be born as a black man and die as a white woman".

Some comment I remember reading about 6 years ago.

RIP MJ

I'm not the biggest fan (mainly cuz I'm not huge of music) of MJ, but he really was an awesome singer/music writer/ and whatever else. A friend of mine told me he actually advised one of the lighting crew who worked for 25 years already on lighting. And he had the absolutely perfect light setting for the scene, even though the crew guy said it would of been a disaster.

guy at work today said "You hear what they were gonna do with Michael Jackson?" ... "since he was 90% plastic anyway theyre gonna melt him down into legos so little kids can play with him for a change"

I can see Michale Jackson in a crowded tunnel wandering toward the light...  Suddenly the beat kicks in and all the souls begin to dance...  Then the MAN begins to sing.

"You know I'm DEAD! I'm DEAD! I'm really really DEAD!"
"You know I'm DEAD! I'm DEAD! I'm really really DEAD!"
"you know --COLD!  I'm STIFF! I'm really really DEAD!
"You I'm DEAD!  I'm DEAD! You know, You know, You know!"
"WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!"

... :-X

...but yeah, he was one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century, and I think he helped define what the 80's were.

Yeah, I keep hearing that one. I also heard one where Michael wanted his organs donated to a little boy. This way, he'd be inside a kid forever.

WHAT THE FUCK?!

Why are all these celebrities dying at early ages? Or better yet, why in the same general time? This is really messed up. I saw Billy Mays on The Tonight Show a few days ago too. He was joking with Conan about selling things.

Ain't that the truth? As long as the planet Earth exists, there will be no one as great as Michael Jackson. All these artists (If you can even call them that with the shit they spew out all day) think they're all big and bad, but they're just all shit.

In the words of Dave Chappelle, "He made Thriller... Thriller"

Seriously though, I think he was a huge piece of music history whether you liked the guy or not, and it's always a shame to see anyone die that young.

Personally I new that MJ wasn't going to last very much longer with all the health and other-such issues that were constantly bombarding his life. So here's to you king of pop!

On a completely different note I have one of his older albums; 'Off the Wall'. Produced the same year I was born--1979!

...it a good album ;)
