Here we shall discuss new ideas for game play or storyline that would make Castlevania a better series for the fans.
Several seconds ago I just had the idea of Belmont twins (or just brothers)being born. Both use whips, both are sworn to kill Dracula. There would be Co-op and all kinds of combos and two player puzzles. The screen would move in a classic side scroller to the right or up, but the game play would be much more intense.
Seeing as one Belmont can already kill Dracula, the threat would either have to be greater, or the brothers be young. There could be competitive play, and even a split screen time trial through the game. A fan's wet dream I know. But cool non the less.

they should have a new and well done Castlevania game
that features a female Belmont since IGA knocked Sonia off the official timeline.
and it should have at least Blazblue quality graphics/animation.
and of course still 2-D gameplay. but no world map like
OOE. more connected like CV2, but with a huge well done castle that's somewhat non-linear like SOTN.
also they should have a CV game that's like create your own Castlevania. there is a castle level editor and character creation included. and they can link the rooms, set boss locations, enemy locations, traps, items, etc.

How about a cv game thatt will play like the new super mario bros wii but with online play?

Ever since the half-assed boss rush creator in DoS, i've always wanted to create a Castle.

Regardless of what you think of Zelda, I believe an actionpacked Zelda-esque Castlevania would be quite awesome. The game would be built like, say, Twilight Princess with a huge, gothic overworld with forests, dungeons, graveyards, mansions, villages and castles. It would also be rather cool if you could see Dracula's castle in the horizon, but being unable to reach it until the very end of the game or summin'.
The gameplay would basically be castleroid-ish in 3D. Yeah, I know this sounds an awful lot like Simon's Quest in 3D... You would gain abilities as you progress through the story (much like Zelda, Metroid etc), so you wouldn't be able to cover the whole map immediately.
It could have both action, platforming and lighter RPG-elements to satisfy most of the Castlevania community. I think it could work, but I realise it's a HUUUGE undertaking to develop a game like this...

That sounds like it may be quite a bit like Lords of Shadow.

Not complicated at all. Done right, such a story could provide one of the most deeply original and involved of plots in CastleVania history.

I had a similar idea for something like that in one of my stories. There was two Belmont brothers and one was chosen over the other to inherit the Vampire Killer. The one who didn't inherit it(the younger brother) had to prove himself more because everybody looked down on him for being the "Belmont who'd never become a legendary hero". The (elder)brother who did inherit it would have a series of nightmares(brought on by Dracula's minions) about his younger brother murdering him, just to take the Vampire Killer for himself. The once close brothers are divided as the older Belmont goes off to investigate the new rash of attacks in the countryside. He disappears and many believe him to be dead, so the younger brother, knowing the lands stand without a hero, goes out to find his older brother, but discovers that the older brother's became so paranoid, that he let Dracula's influence turn him against his own blood. The two fight, and the younger brother manages to wear down the older brother, who is so exhausted that he doesn't have the strength or reflexes to protect himself as Death swoops in and impales him on his scythe. The older brother dies(his dream ringing true) and the younger brother takes up the Vampire Killer and vows to avenge his older brother.

that would be amazing and have a very retro feel to it. Personally metroidvania is starting to get old after 12 years. Played through OOE only twice. It's great but the formula is starting to wear on me.
