Title: Konami produces their own SOTN Maria figure
Post by: Super Waffle on July 27, 2009, 07:41:19 PM
(https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg43.imageshack.us%2Fimg43%2F4048%2Fpapanda864img600x450124.jpg&hash=88ac6e769eaf127949b6ddaec3f7e36e5680deb3)

Konami decides to make said figure an obscure arcade-exclusive collectors' item that will most likely never see the light of day on English import sites.

God I'm so pissed right now.

These figures are a continuation of an older set of reward figures based on the Judgment game (featuring Not Simon and Misa, if anybody likes horribly-designed things):

Never say never my friend ;)

The quality is okay... but would indeed go well with Symphony, the OST and Tiger handheld as the ultimate fan package ;D

maria is horrible, but Alucard is great quality. I want an Aluard! (Just to kill him with a cooking knife... oh my gosd, what a sweet fantasy was that)

Looks pretty decent, i would like to see more or better photos of the product itself since the box images are too bright D:

Nice info dude, its like a good breath after that horribly and disgusting style of Judgment

I just got Vol 1, Judgment's Simon and Maria in the mail today and they're actually really good quality. They stand about 5-6 inches tall, and are made of a good quality plastic.

I'm not a fan of the Maria design, but I do like the Simon. I figured I'd just get them while I still saw them on eBay, and am looking forward to finding the SotN ones, especially after being so surprised how well these are put together.

I can't find anything about these things outside of random Japanese store and auction sites.

Well at least they've decided to do SotN Maria and not kid-o-rific judgment Maria.

GLARPH, 1993 Rondo Maria totally owns that crapass WANNABE with her Shadow Skillz!  YATTA.

Let's see a classic CLASSIC Maria figure!

Rondo Maria is made of generic '90s anime design.  Take one of a dozen different loli characters in summer dresses and stick Sailor Venus's head on her.  That is Rondo of Blood Maria Renard.  The only thing worse is DXC Pretty Little Boy Maria.

Hell, Judgment Maria gets more of a reaction out of me than Rondo Maria.  A negative, "oh my god what is that thing?"-type reaction, but it's better than being completely indifferent.

well, fuck.

Everyone in Rondo is made of "generic '90s anime design"; that's one of the things that made it frikkin' awesome.  It was like the frikking CastleVania Cartoon that you'd never play until fifteen years later (but with oil paints, wussyfaces, and Deathnote).

... no they weren't.

Richter obviously stole Ryu's head, but his actual outfit was unique and tried to look like it was from the correct century.

So now that I actually have money to spend, does anyone have a spare SotN Maria they want to do away with?

anybody?

plz?

I know there's a few floating around eBay for like $50 BEFORE overseas shipping costs, but that's just ridiculous.

Yeah they're pricey but if you really want them, they're worth it. The quality is amazing

Well I did find this (http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/showproduct.php/product/16239), but the guy hasn't answered my PM.  :/

I'm guessing this is either because he already sold it or because he's uncomfortable dealing with some guy who offered him a Paypal exchange on the same day that he registered on the site.

I came across this thread and thought i would share my figures with you guys. I got these a while ago to go with my neca castlevania collection. The Arcade figures were hard to get hold of.

Wish I could get a Gabriel figure.

Someone should tell Crisis about this, so he can get it for his vast Cv collection before he smashes it all to pieces. Cuz if you're gonna destroy your collection, it might as well be complete, dammit
