ok, so i'm making this homebrew which is essentially loosely based on LoD (as in just taking the same storyline, characters, and setting), but in 2D for the nds, and i currently haven't got that far, so what i want at the moment is ideas for the intro movie as portrayed in 2D.
i'm thinking about using the intro music from cv64 as opposed to LoD (so i'm using that strings version of bloodlines, i'll either use the original because there is a way to compile mp3s to be played on the nds, or get someone to remix it in .mod format which would sound not as good, but more...nds-ey).
so that would mean that, like cv64, the intro movie could probably feature panning/scrolling 2D images of a castle in the middle of a lake, and end on a picture of the full moon right behind the castle, which is where the first part of the bloodlines melody kicks in for the titlescreen (which'll be on the bottom screen). failing that, i could change it altogether...
so, if anyone can spare some creativity and time, etc., i'd like some suggestions about that and anything else because i get lost when it comes to choreography.
so....thanks in advance.........

This idea right here sound like the real winner. I'd go for it. it keeps true to CV64 as close as possible within the 2-D format :)

ok, thanks.
just thinking though, i should probably animate the pics using lighting flashes and bats and fog and stuff to liven it up a bit, cos that version of bloodlines sounds pretty epic.
so when the intro part of the opening melody has finished, i think i'll have one last lightning flash on the top screen which will light up the bottom screen too, which will fade to the title screen.
