So yesterday Eric [Roman] showed me the Castlevania 3 episode of Captain N. I should have expected things to be completely wacked out since Simon is some doofy 1920s airplane pilot and all but still I was shocked. The only thing that was true about anything was the Skull Knight that lasted all of 15 seconds on the screen.
I'm more ranting than complaining about all this but c'mon! That old man elf was Sypha? Alucard was a 90's skateboarder from the West Coast with no recollection of helping Trevor? Dracula was doofy like Simon? No Grant? I just don't understand. =p
And why did the Skull Knight happen in the first place? The Elf/Sypha dude was all like "i have to wake up these old bones." Then Skull Knight pops up and Elf/Sypha was all "Whoops, didn't mean for that to happen!"
Really old elf dude? You wanted to wake up old bones and was shocked when they woke up?
I've come to the conclusion after seeing this episode that Castlevania Judgment was based off of this show. It makes no sense just like Captain N.
But to end this with a more positive note, I was happy to see the episode finally... at least. =)

Nah, CVJudgment got the boobs right on Sypha. :P
-
You got me there. The elf was boob-less.

It was goofy, silly and immature and wasn't very CV-ish, but it sort of had to be. Remember Captain N was a Saturday morning kids cartoon. The network couldn't really have it be all dark, scary & mysterious like the game was.

Yeah, I know who the audience was. I was one of those kids too. I just never understood why they had to be changed SO MUCH.

When I got my fisrt VHS with Captain N I was like "Whoa!! This is so cool!!"
But when I saw Simon I was like "Screw this shit.. Mom, bury this crap somewhere far away PLEASE!!"
I was about 10 by then..

That was your VHS buried in my yard!? Small world... ;p

Probably :D
