Title: Bootleg games on authentic cartridges
Post by: crisis on January 26, 2010, 05:33:21 PM
Recently I came across several listings for some unofficial CV games (fan hacks, if you will). There was one as a NES cartridge but I was unsure if it would even work or not. I've also read stories of people buying some of the gba games like HoD, only to find that that there was save issues & glitches.

Any of you heard or fall victim to this phenomena?

I've seen some on Ebay before, in fact I just saw an NES one the other day, but couldn't find it now. I wanted to link it here. I assume they work, and I'd love to get one some time and find out, but they're always so expensive

It sounds kind of cool. I'd love to play them, even if they aren't official

Well, i bought once Metroid Zero for GBA and it wouldn't hold the saves. After about 15 hours, the saves got deleted. I went it back to the store, where i got it and told them that if they don't fix it, i wanted my money back and they change the battery inside and now it works perfectly!!!!!

I once bought Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, via internet.

When I got the game I saw that the cover was not the EU one, but the US cover..
The manuall was no manuall at al, it was a little book with the review from Gamespot.com, and the game would'nt save.

As it turned out it was a pirated copy someone had sold to the store I bought the game from.. ..
