The girl looks OK, the costume looks great for something non-professional that's homemade.
For the record, I don't mind Shanoa's CVJ outfit, though I like her OoE outfit more. I have a thing for long hair....

I'm actually ok with Shanoa's CVJ outfit too. It's just that the whole nun headgear is a obvious, "I'm sorry but we can't be nagged to animate that heh."

The CVJ Shanoa outfit in a video game is one thing, but when a good looking broad has that outfit on in real life, it is epic win!

Yeay Super Waffle! Go 8-bit!! I don't really see anything wrong with Shanoa's outfit but maybe that's because shanoa has not been elivated to the iconic character status as the other CV characters have. *Cough!* Grant *Cough!*

It's a game. A historically accurate outfit would be boring. (Not to excuse some of Obata's more insane designs, but still.)

You know? at least, Iga's design had corsèsses, long skirst, leather accesories, not the Ideal outfit for a witch, but a good "bad-assing" of the main concept.

Nevermind the fact that, oh, Ecclesia functioned as a church organization before Barlowe went wacky and Nunnoa actually makes sense as a typical anime nun.

i was more disturbed at how Sypha's outfit didn't fit at all what a priest would be caught dead wearing. a woman priest back then?? wearing tight "robes"?? guess you can't fight so well in actual robes... but it was great so i forgive them.

i talked to Nebulaluben on the Castlevania Wiki. she was putting up some of her pics. i thought it might have been Super Waffle using her user name, so i checked to make sure it wasn't him. nope, it was really her though :) she of course wanted to know what was going on over here, so i sent her the link.

Same here, it adds a dimension of realism to the cosplay. Everything looks perfect except the "tattoo" on her back looks too magic marker-y

I happen to like the deviantart pics. Taking a forgettable design concept and making it stand out more is always an accomplishment. For the record though, I didn't hate Shanoa's look in CVJ. There were plenty of other far more ridiculous designs that prompted a more grim response from me personally. Regardless, it doesn't matter seeing as how the game isn't even official canon in the series, so why carp about shoddy design? Getting back to Super Waffle's topic... You know the first thought that comes to mind with both Nebulaluben's images and CoS's Maria in Waffle's sig is how they both look like transgender CV babes. Seriously, first thought that occures to me.
And yes. Coming from me that is a compliment.

I'm not sure if you know of the Inverted Castlevania Dungeon (http://www.icvdforums.com/forum/) or ICVD. It's a board some folks put together several years ago to sort of emulate the Off Topic of ye olde ezboard before it got obliterated. Many of the same posters, although it's been slow in recent years, with not as many people posting. Still, come by if you're up for some perversion and reminiscing.

Gonna have to agree with you there, out of all the judgment designs shanoa most def was not the worst.
