Why wasn't Dracula X Chronicles released on the PS2 instead? Was it ever mentioned? Every time I play the game I can't help realize how much more awesome it would be playing it on a console. Fortunately, I'm lucky enough to own the original Rondo of Blood and Sotn but playing the remakes on a console would have been so much cooler.

It is a pity realy ???.

it would look better, but it's nice to have it portable. Plus, it probably wouldn't sell as well if it were on the PS2. If you really want to play it like a console game, get the new PSP and the wires to hook it up to the TV

speaking of that, do you get the connection cables with the PSP slim?

There's definitely no way to do that with the original PSP?

the cables to hook up the PSP Slim to the TV are not included, I believe they're about $20. It's kind of steep but if you play a lot of PSP games at home I think it's kind of worth it, if you have the money

Someone call the WHAAAAAmbulance. You missed the "WHy isn't this being released for the PS2?" crowd by a couple months. Either way, PS2 is all but dead so don't hold your breath waiting for this to come out on that system. Get yourself a PSP and enjoy the game, you won't be sorry you did.

Yes, for the casual crowd the PS2 is dead.
But it's only outside japan.
Japan still gets 20-30+ new PS2 games every month, up to now.

Dude, did you even read my post? If you did, you would have read that I do own a PSP.
-
It would be neat if DXC gets a port to XBLA, even if it looked the same as the PSP version just with a higher resolution.

So then what are you whining about? We already had the, "Man, why isn't this being released on the PS2??" topics when DXC was announced. Play the game and stop complaining.

I would like that, but I am not sure if the people who bought a PSP for it would...

Hey moron, all I did was ask if it was ever mentioned why Iga decided to release Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP instead of the PS2. And how am I supposed to remember what posts were made when the game was first announced, you dork?
-
Because those posts were EVERYWHERE, on pretty much EVERY CV board for awhile, and it got tired. And now you're rehashing it despite the futility of it. Just enjoy the game on the system it's on rather than wishing it were on some other system it'll never be released for.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think one interview stated that IGA wanted to make DXC since the system doesn't have a lot of games and he see potential in it.

Sotn takes 465 mb. The psp remake only 291. Original is 191 mb, peke around 8.
