I am rather new to the Castlevania series and after
playing video games my whole life I am glad to finally
play it even though I should have years ago!!
Anyway a friend of mine was playing a Castlevania game
on his pc via emulator that came with his pc which he bought used
a while ago and He does not know what game it is
and neither do I Castlevania wise as we are both new to the series.
He downloaded this game a long time ago and it was simply titled Castlevania.
The game takes place in the year 1830.
In The Opening their are two characters: Dracula and Camilla.
Then 3 more arrive on scene to stop them them: Morris Baldwin,
Nathan Graves and Hugh Baldwin.
Nathan and Hugh fall through the floor and are seperated from Morris.
The player controls Nathan. What Castlevania game is this and what system did it come out for?
What year?
Thanks in advance.

Nice! Circle of the Moon is the game that got me into the Castlevania series around 6 years ago. I'd never heard of the series before that, and my brother had the game, so I decided to give it a try. The rest is history.
Ah memories...

This was probably because he downloaded the european version of the game. It always bothered me that Circle of the Moon and Lament of Innocence were simply released here as "Castlevania". As if there wasn't already a few games with that name (NES Original, the N64 game and... well, those are the ones I can think of anyway. Still too many.)

The First Castlevania game I ever played was Super
Castlevania IV just a month ago followed by Cotm!!
I am now playing Sotn and Aria of sorrow. All I can
say is one word... Awesome!! ;D
And yeah I have a version that says Cotm on my PC
but the other version on my friends PC just says Castlevania
on it lol even though I just found out it's the same game.
Thanks for the info guys!

Circle of the moon is also what sparked my interest in the series, I played DraculaX before but when I played Circle of the moon I realised I had played something similar before and started looking things up, before I knew it I played almost all of the released ones.

CotM in my opinion is far, far more castlevania-ish then all the IGA games combined. dispite the fact that it's another Meroivania, it has lots more to do with castlevania. The game itself feels castlevania-ish and I do not say this lightly.

OH MAN! Dude, you have plenty of History to go through, my friend. You have entered a series that is one word....LEGENDARY. Not all titles may strike your fancy, but you gotta go all the way back....if you can EVER get your hands on a Nintendo....and the three titles that started it all, my friend you will at the very least be able to appreciate something about every game...
Good luck on your adventures!
