Title: Was Drolta Tzuentes a Devil Forgemaster?
Post by: Reinhart77 on September 22, 2010, 08:18:38 PM
In the Dracula battle for Castlevania Bloodlines, a casket appears, and Dracula comes out.  According to Japanese sources, his second form is actually the witch Drolta Tzuentes.  Then his third form is a demon with two mouths.

I notice a possible parallel with this resurrection scenario and how he was resurrected early in Curse of Darkness.  It seems to me like they used Drolta's body as a vessel for Dracula's resurrection, just like they did with Isaac.  First, put Drolta in the casket, perform a ritual, and Dracula pops out with his own body.  Then destroy Dracula's body and Drolta's body re-asserts itself (just like LoD).  But of course, she's still on Dracula's side, and apparently has some energy left, so she then fights you.  After destroying her body, Dracula and Drolta's souls are merged and together and they form a demon with two mouths - one for Dracula and one for Drolta.

As Curse of Darkness said that only a Devil Forgemaster could be used as a vessel for Dracula's body (in this kind of resurrection anyways), it makes me wonder if Drolta was also a Devil Forgemaster.

Its a theory, anyways.

Nothing against this or anything, but, come'n Rein, just jump in the LOS bandwagon! The last thing we want to think about now is Droltza Tzuentez and his non-sensical role into the nonsensical plot of the old saga, really, who cares now? :P

Good observation there! Maybe it was unintentional, but its a nice connection to CoD.

I never want to believe that Drolta is a devil forge master. That's just a silly IGA invention. Drolta is a witch. Plain and simple. She used witchcraft (wicca) To ressurrect Bartly (Bathory) by accident. Drolta had nothing to do with Dracula's ressurrection since that was Bartly's doing. The only other thing that Drolta did was creat those 'Drolta mecha knights'. In terms of the final battle, I think it was just one of those epic battle scenes the game creators made rather then an actual story event. However I think that Drolta couldv'e used the last of her life force to summon up the second Dracula form as the battle seems to indicate. And according to the CoD story there were only two people to possess the power of devil forging. And both have long-since died along with that 'forbiddon' knowledge.

Interesting thought! Makes me respect the plot in CoD a little more, even if it's unjustified.

And Ahasverus or whatever... I know you're excited about LoS. I am too. But chill. Just a little. Please.

What an ignorant post.

I never knew that the second form wasn't Dracula. That blows my mind. I just thought Dracula decided he wanted to turn into a little man flying around the screen.

Drolta is Witch.

I think my IQ just dropped.

As for the topic, Devil Forgemaster are not neccisarily the only people who can serve as a vessel for Dracula. 'Anybody who is infused with his magic' would be a better classification, whatever that means. We know that Barlowe could be used as a vessel because of he had been influenced by Dracula's magic for years, either because of the Dominus glyph he made, which contained Dracula's power, or because he was exposed to his remains for years, both of which you should have the same effect.

I don't think she is a Devil Forgemaster, though.

Drolta is Witch.

This, basically.

Don't pay Ahasverus any attention. Ahasverus has the knack of mindlessly blurting out stupid things when he gets overly giddy about LoS. And other times, he apoligizes for jumpin gto conclusions. I call it LoS-specific bi-polar disorder.

And I apologize for that post, it was soooo dumb, but you caught me in the middle of the "LOS getting first 90+ reviews" hype wave. Sorry :(

BTW, I don't think Drolta is a devil forgemaster, the manual said she was "dumb" and "revived bathory by accident" so IDT she would be a good candidate to be the creator of Drac's army, and BTW, I think Devil Forgemasters were not needed bt 1800, Dracula was experienced enough to create his own armies by itself, or thaty's what I've always thought.

However, I do think Isaac's and Drac's battles in COD were "inspired" by Drolta's concept. IGA was good knowing and referencing these "little details" :)

oh yeah, i forgot about Barlowe.  yeah, so i guess being a devil forgemaster isn't a requirement.  unless Barlowe was also a devil forgemaster...
