In order to get ready, and celebrate the release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, I will be streaming a play through of Super Castlevania IV over Livestream! In this run, I will attempt to 1 life the game on hard mode. Super Castlevania IV is my all time favorite Castlevania game, and it is only right to play through it before this new game stands before us.
Join me, and tell all your friends! It'll be a night of laughs, chills, and flashbacks!
If you use Firefox, I highly recommend getting an add-on called Adblock Plus. It will disable all of those dumb adds that come up while you're watching stuff on livestream.

I've tried this once before, and got shafted at that part with the disappearing blocks just before Frankenstein... Pissed me off something awful... I still hate that part.

I've been playing the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night for a while now (I scored me a Sega Saturn at the end of the Summer :D), and now I'm playing Legacy of Darkness too.

You know.. That's the part I'm most afraid of. I did beat the game on Hard Mode before, but I lost a few lives I think in the Clock Tower because of some silly mistimed jumps. Also, one d-pad mess up when you're jumping on those stairs in Dracula's Tower = Bye bye Simon.

funny, I am also replaying SOTN with Richter and Alucard with the luck password (X-X!V''Q) and Castlevania 64, apparently there's a Castlevania fever going on about.

I'll plan on being there. Sounds like a great way to kick off the release of Lords of Shadow. I only worry that CV4 will actually overshadow it as a better game though.

I usually never experience any problems in Castlevania 4 until level 8. That's when the game suddenly becomes a little tricky if you don't know what you're doinf. Then I always die at least once on the collapsing staircase + spiky iron ball before Slogra & friends. You can't make a single mistake there :( And "mistake" is my middle name.
Anyway, it will be fun to watch a forum member play through the game.. I wanna see what you're made of :D

Dude the music keeps echoing, it's getting annoying. If you have another window open with the stream running or something you have to close it.

So much for a no death run, but it was still hella cool regardless. He also killed Dracula with no sub weapon and using the leather whip.

Beating Drac with only the leather whip on hard mode was pretty awesome.

Haha thanks for the compliments, but I am pretty disappointed at those dumb deaths I had. The two in the final stage before Dracula's Tower were just.. lol. I tried to grab the stairs as the bricks were falling. The fight against Dracula at the end was by far the best part though. I was sweating and everything. We both had 1 blip of health before the end too!
Anyway, someone requested Bloodlines next.. I'll do that some other time. I can't promise anything spectacular with that game though. Bloodlines is way harder than SCVIV.

Acctually I think that Castlevania: Dracula X (SNES) is more difficult then Bloodlines. You might wanna hit that game next.
