Greetings,
As some may know by now, the PS3 version is having issues with save files becoming corrupt. I have not had this happen, but b/c this game features a save copy system that is not locked, I suggest frequently backing up especially if you are a few chapters into the game. I have done so a few times and I currently have one backed up just after Cornel I believe. I would be happy to email it to you if you happen to get to a point where it happens to you and you didn't have a back up.
-
It happened to me right at the last chapter of the game. Yeah.
-
Sounds bad. I hope it won't happen to me (once I get around to actually play the damn game).
This reminds me of me playing Final Fantasy 8.. About 20 hours into the game my memory card was suddenly empty one day. My heart stopped, I cried a little and then I actually started over from the effin beginning. Later that week, when I was at the last disc, I found that the memory card was empty - again! I never touched FF8 after that. But I bought myself a new memory card :)

Yeah, this is a serious issue. I got an 'Unhandled Error' when I was replaying the final fight, but luckily nothing happened to my file.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear Cox chime in on this soon.
-
Oh, this sounds bad. Especially since I'm struggling to beat the game (Has nothing to do with difficulty, but lack of CV vibe). I'll be sure to back up my save files when I fire the game up again.

Someone/multiple people should probably tweet cox about this and see if he can get the team to figure out what's going on.

Exact same thing happened to me. When it happened, I Googled "PS3 Unhandled Error," saw Lords Of Shadow pop up at the top of the list, read that some had their save files wiped, then started saying "oh shit" over and over in my head. Thankfully, yeah, my file was fine, too.

Lulz just happened to me. Open the book then it asked me what difficulty I wanted to play on :-\. O well really doesn't bother me.

This hasn't happened to me in Lords but... I just fired up DXC today. It said my save file was corrupted. Oh well, now I have to go collect all of the records again.

Same here. I fired it up last week to check on something but I got the same message. So lame.

Has this affected the 360 version at all? The only game I've ever had mess up on me was Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I was toward the end too. I never played it since. Wasn't that great of a game to try... I would be pissed if my lords of shadow file messed up though!

Was it a Sony Memory Card? Every memory card I ever had for psx, or any system that was not OFFICIAL messed up on me and I had to toss em and vow never to buy a third party product again. Same problem with controllers, they are always JUNK if not made by Sony, nintendo, ect. I have had one memory card that is fine though, my non-VMU memory card/rumble pack for Dreamcast by 'Performance' has always been fine. I was actually surprised I checked it a week ago to transfer some files and they were all A OK.

I didnt have any such thing when I played, just the annoying one file per profile.

Lovely... how do you backup a PS3 save file then? Because my luck I will play for awhile, and lose my progress. I will not be a happy gal.

PS3 UNHANDLED ERROR! (in Chapter VI after walking and whipping following a solved puzzle involving a "board"). I hit the PS home button and shut off the machine from that menu, then restarted the system, and it booted back up with the save file intact prior to the puzzle. Phew. Maybe I should back my game up. I heard you can do it via USB?

Yea it's really simple.
1. Insert a flash drive into the other controller slot.
2. Go to your saved game data and select your CV file.
3. Chose copy, then select the USB and the data will automatically be copied to your flash drive.
I update the save file on my USB and delete the previous one (to obviously save space) everytime I'm done playing for the day/night.

Patch 1.01 is live since yesterday and weights at 16mb. I thought this should be noted here.
-
glad they fixed that for you guys! I have it on 360, would of been quite upset if that happened to me. I yelled enough at parts of the game as it was. Hope the patch lets you continue from where you were!
-
oops --nevermind.
-
The patch should download automatically when you start the game, assuming your connected to the internet of course.
-
I recieved my update so I should be good to go.
