Title: Lords of Shadow plot is pretty solid, except for one plot hole... minor spoilers
Post by: Gecko on October 26, 2010, 10:11:03 PM
Where the hell did all those arrows come from?! You know. The ones in the bodies you keep looting. Also on the Dracolich fight. That thing has arrows stuck in its bones. I never ONCE was shot at with an arrow. Yet EVERY dead body was like a pincushion for arrows. They mostly seemed fresh too. What is up with that? ???

Arrows what? xD I think the only arrows I saw were the ones at Knight's corpses and yep they come from an unknown source, however, I'm really thinking about: what if every knight was "conveniently placed" in their places by Zobek? If he kiled them, he would have done it with the most untraceable weapon ever: an arrow.

PLot hole destroyed!  ;D

Hmmm, well the arrows bring up an interesting point but I think it was just for design or maybe because of the skeleton archers that we never see???

The arrows came from an upcoming boss that will be featured via DLC.... CUPID!

Toke jopic is toke jopic, but on a serious note, while the drawing make no sense I think the artist somewhat wanted to capture the feeling of the guys' sense of isolation and impotence that the texts they leave behind evokes. You sort of imagine them dying alone without a chance to fight back, and pierced by many wounds. It's somewhat unimaginative, but I think the artist's idea was that of portraying the knights being overwhelmed and butchered without having to draw horrible wounds that could have hampered the game's rating.

Arrow wounds are very clean, and very effective. Look at Boromir's death scene: it's fundamentally an execution, but having it done by arrows (instead of having him chopped to pieces with melee weapons) preserves the dramatic impact without making the scene a gorefest.

Cupid was secretly using Satan for his own goals, who was secretly using Zobek for his own goals, who was secretly using Gabriel for his own goals, revealed one after another all within a few short minutes. The DLC takes place 2 minutes after the final scene before the credits.

It'll be 15$ and corrupt all your save data.
