Title: Money in The Dracula X Chronicles?
Post by: Pentagram-cracker on December 29, 2010, 07:36:24 PM
I'm very new to the Castlevania series, and I have The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP. Anyways in the Rondo of Blood remake I noticed you can find money bags by breaking candles, and in the menu screen where you do things like select your character and choose a stage there's a list for how much money you've earned. What is this used for? I know in Symphony of the Night there's a merchant you can buy weapons and items from, but I haven't seen any merchants in Rondo of Blood so I'm confused as to what the money in the game is used for.  ???

Thank you whoever answers my question. :)

no merchant in Rondo, but you can use the money to purchase boss strategy videos in the opening menu.

I don't really see the point of purchasing the boss demos. I mean you don't unlock them untill after you beat the bosses, and once you do it should be pretty easy to figure out your own stradegy for defeating them. I guess it's good if you just like to see the boss fights replayed over and over without having to fight them. I purchased Carmilla's boss demo and it was kind of cool watching her over and over again, I think she's probably my favorite boss.

I've done it. if you have enough coinage saved up then you can use that lose change to unlock more music tracks.

I always thought the demos are made so that you can practice the pattern of each boss so you can have defeat them w/o any health lost.  It is probably for the hardcore CV fans that wants to pass the game w/o losing health

Really? How do you go about doing that?

It should be in the main menu of the redesigned rondo game. It's been a while since I did it so I could be wrong.

I played through the game several times and never saw that option. Tbh I would rather have had to buy them than play through boss rush to get them.

I, too, have never heard of this process of using money to unlock music tracks.  I thought you needed to manually find where each song disc is hidden in-game.
