This has been on watch for quite some time now. I saw this bit of news several years back on Discovery channal. It's really quite something these Supervolcanos. Not even the erruptions of 1883 (Krakatowa) or the erruption and eventual destruction of that small island in the mediterranean sea could never hope to compare.

Damn, if that thing blows, a lot of us are gonna be in some hot water...2/3rds of the country rendered uninhabitable? D: D: D: D:

Not only that but we'd also be in for a new ice age afterwards.

Its probably wont happen for a few 100,000 years. I wouldn't be worried. Plus, if it does blow, we wont have to worry about it for to long.
