Anyone know of any other good games where you kill vampires/ play as the vampire? The only ones I know of are:
Legacy of Kain
Bloodrayne
Darkstalkers
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Vampire: The Masquerade
Dracula: Origins

Try Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines if you haven't, or redemption if you haven't.

I'm playing through Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain right now. Goooood stuff.
Nosferatu for the SNES is a really cool game. Slick cutscenes, and even has music by a favorite of mine, Masanao Akahori (perhaps best known for Cybernator).

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion you can fight and get infected and turn into a vampire. It's a huge game though and doesn't really focus on vampirism that much, but it's steal a great game. Here are some facts about vampirism in the game:
* The vampires in this game don't show fangs and don't do things like turn into bats or summon demonic beings to fight like in Castlevania. They do however look like vampires with creepy pale skin and red eyes. Also they infect you by attacking you with weapons rather than biting you.
* Vampires are commonly found in caves, ruins, and in sewers.
* When you become infected ith vampirism you gain certain strengths and weaknesses. Such as increased health, agility, and new spells but also a weakness to fire and sunlight.
* You can "feed" on victims by approaching someone as they sleep and biting their neck. Drinking blood helps you keep your normal appearance so you don't look so creepy and people won't try to avoid you when you speak to them. Also feeding regularly will allow you to walk in sunlight without burning.
* Despite becoming a vampire, enemy vampires will still attack you. There's a few vampire NPCs you can talk to regardless if you're vampire or human.
* You can do a long quest to try and cure yourself of vampirism. After you cure yourself you cannot become a vampire ever again.
* For PC and Xbox 360 gamers there is a player house you can download called Deepscorn Hollow which is a home for vampires. It's a furnished underground cave with all the nessesities a vampire needs such as a coffin bed, a cattle pen with a sleeping human to feed on any time you want, and even a fountain that can cure your vampirism without having to do the long quest.

Nocturne
Great game. You also kill werewolves, zombies and other monsters. Same developpers as Bloodrayne, which was supposed to be the sequel but was reworked drastically. They also made Blair Witch: Rustin Parr (again set in the Nocturne universe).
There's also Dracula: Origin, though I haven't played, seen or read anything about.
There are others but I can't remember them right now.

I haven't actually played bloodrayne (it isn't available where i am) but I saw the gameplay on youtube and thought it was pretty badass.
I've completed Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen (LOVED it, my all-time favourite), tried a bit of the sequels but I didn't enjoy them as much as the first.
As for VTM, i have tried the pen & paper version, but not the PC one...for some reason I don't like playing a vampire surrounded by other vampires. For me it's either playing a vamp in a world of humans or a vampire-slaying human.

Blood rayne is pretty abyssmal imo, bad control and movement killed it for me.
You should try darkwatch, pretty damn good game, if you like shooters. Just don't aim to become a vampire.... its full of fail. you should do it purely for the ending.

I'd add:
Dracula: The Resurrection and The Last Sanctuary both for PC/Mac/PSX- Cool first person search/puzzle type game. Very atmospheric.
If you've got an iPhone/iPod Touch there are a ton of vampire related games in the app store like Vampire Origins which is kinda DMC-ish, Dracula :Path of the Dragon which is like the previous two I mentioned, and Vampire Saga which is a searching type game.
Oh, and Vampire Hunter D for the PSX.

I second the recommendation regarding Nosferatu. I'm meaning the game for the SNES.
I also second the thumbs down for Bloodrayne. That games storyline was moronic and its controls were crap. I hated it after five minutes of play. In fact I hated it so much that I strapped it to a target and used it for practice with the potato cannon. Yes, I hated that game that much.
I played Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver, but its hard for me to play those games because I'm hard of hearing to the point that I have to turn up the television till its screaming at me to be able to hear it at all, especially if theres even a very slight amount of noise in the background. [just to be clear, those games use audio rather than text when dialog is exchanged].
In regards to VTM, personally, and I don't know about you, but there were some things I seriously, SERIOUSLY disliked about that system.
Firstly, I didn't like the fact that I got slapped down every time I tried to do ANYthing plot-wise.
Secondly, I absolutely hated the fact that, essentially unless you enter in the middle or top, your stuck at the bottom. Forever. Period. Doesn't matter who likes you, doesn't matter what your goals are, doesn't matter what your abilities are. If you enter at the bottom prepare yourself to stay there. Because you will stay there.
Thirdly, I hated the fact that virtually all the players I encountered were complete dicks to me. I'm not meaning their characters, I mean the people themselves.
Fourthly, when I was trying to learn the rules and understand the game, most peoples attitude towards me was that if I wasn't going to spend the money to get the core book, theres absolutely no point in me playing the game, because I will get killed repeatedly. They then proceeded to kill me. Over and over again.
Finally, I hated the flesh-crafting ability. Simply put, I create a character so that I can play through as that character. Not so I can be told 'oh you aren't what we need right now and I don't care what you think' *flesh-crafting* 'Now your more along the lines of what I need', leaving me with a completely different character. And by completely different I mean different to the point that my original intentions and personality are now completely impossible to use. And just how in the heck am I supposed to RP a vampire with no arms or legs, or otherwise an invalid to the point that their an unplayable NPC? [people did that to me on a couple occasions basically cause they wanted me out of the game].
I've not heard of Dracula Origins. But I would avoid the Sega Genesis Bram Stoker's Dracula. Its not that good.

Nosferatu Wrath of Malachi... I think Im the only person thats even heard of this game and findin it now would be quite a feat but it was TOTALLY worth it. Damn good game thats like an action adventure survival horror fps set in a huge old mansion thats randomly arranged everytime you start a new game. And of course the whole game centers around killin vampires

We're talking about the computer game... not the board game.

I enjoyed playing 'Rusty' for the PC98. It borderlines on S&M just because of the character sprites and such. But it like playing another CV game. And it's hard.

I never played 'Rusty' but I'm aware of its existence. I've seen some play through footage of it. I'd have to say its on up there in the difficulty scale.

What I disliked about VTM was that there's too much talking. Like, half a day spent talking and barely any action at all. I know, vampires live forever and have all the time, but I'd rather go read an Anne Rice book or something.

Hmm... the fighting seems a bit stiff and monotonous. Music and dialogue are pretty cool, though. Left Hand is fantastic, as always. I can't say much about the game coz I've only watched the anime.
By the way Shadowserg, I really wanna thank you for your DXC gameplay videos; they were of great help.
