question above ^
and im looking forward to buying it! 8)

It used to be Rondo of Blood, but now that's available with the DXC. I'd guess now it's the haunted Castle arcade game.

Not counting the Game.com games?
I'd say either Haunted Castle (the physical arcade cabinet - not the Playstation 2 remake) or Vampire Killer for the MSX.
-
I'd say the physical copy of Rondo of Blood in its original case with the spine card is still pretty rare. I'm still on the lookout for a good copy with the spine.

That shit is so rare, it's not even for sale. :o

I'll pay one jillion dollars for that!

The orig. Haunted Castle cabinet is pretty hard to find. Rondo and X68000 were very rare but both got the Chronicles treatment. Original Vampire Killer discs are still pretty rare.
I'd love to find the Bloodlines Beta. Only a handful ever existed though.

Is there a rom of this Beta somewhere?

Since I had the chance to play Haunted Castle a few years back on an actual cabinet, and I never played Vampire Killer on an MSX, I'll say Vampire Killer.
-
Sadly, there isn't a rom from the beta version of bloodlines.... :(

Wish there was. Once in a VERY blue moon you'll see a copy of the actual Beta cartridge on ebay but it's big $$$. There was some discussion on the board here a long time ago about this game and we were all guessing as to how many copies actually exist. Not many at all that's for sure...
-
If one of those beta cartridges goes on sale again, someone better make a ROM of it. >:(

And yeah, that is by far the rarest.

all these posts and no one mentioned this

This page makes it sound like there was only ONE copy of the Bloodlines Beta ever produced, but that can't be true. But if it were, then that would be the rarest CV game ever. Still, I know there's a handful of these out there but tracking one down wouldn't be easy.

Is it really that rare? I actually found a copy of it in a pawn shop for $5 a few years ago. Never been able to play it because the idiot I bought a Saturn from on eBay sent it in a really thin cardboard box with no padding so the laser was broken by the time it got to me. >:(
I didn't know about the Bloodlines Beta. It's a shame we'll probably never know what's on that cart. :P
-
Its rare for me since I never played it and I'm too lazy to emulate it. :P
-
You know what would be pretty cool? If they made CV: Bloodlines Chronicles and put in the lost levels from the beta version!

I don't why konami doesn't take advantage of this. Everybody wants more classic games, especially the ones that need it (CVIII,II, Belmont's revenge)

No doubt. I was begging for Christopher's story to get the Chronicles treatment and we got it...sort of. But there are plenty of other games that could be redone Chronicles-style, and doing that with Bloodlines including the levels from the beta would be awesome. Hell, Konami could make an anthology of them and put multiple games on 1 disc.
-
I would have thought that it would be that Dreamcast game with Sonia Belmont, or was that only a tech demo? I remember seeing opening animations somewhere, but it was a really long time ago.
Sincerely,
David

I would say one of the rarest Would be Castlevania Legends with the box and manual. Its easy to find the game itself but complete makes it a completly different game unless you're willing to pay a lot.
-
I'd say the rarest would be CV for the Sharp X68000 with the box and manuel... It's hard enough to find the game itself. Btw there are a bunch of complete CV legends copies being sold on ebay

The hardest should be the LCD Tiger Symphony of the Night... and some smart**** here has like 10 of them :dies of envy: ;D
