Does anyone know what the necklace is a reference to? surely it's not Julius because he shows up hundreds of years later??

It probably stands for "joy".

You'd have to ask Jeremy Blaustein, because he's responsible for the name.  In the Japanese version of Symphony, it's just called "Necklace."

Prior to SOTH we had no Belmonts or otherwise that had a name beggining with J so i suppose it's an allusion to Justice or joy in that case... it just seems a bit mysterious.... ah well, suppose we won't get a true answer.

If Jeremy Blaustein renamed it, then maybe it stand for Necklace of Jeremy?
