-

Clocktower! j/k....
Hmm The ones that stand out for me are:
The waterfall level in SCV4
Block 3 I guess it could be called in CV1 (the first time you see the flea men)
underground caverns in SoTN
I like the first level of HoD as well.
Nothing really stands out for me on the GBA titles. I'm finishing up AoS then I will move on to the DS titles.
I still have many CV games on my list to be played.

Olrox's Quarters (SotN)
Ghostly Thertre (LoI)
Garden Forgotten by Time (LoI)
Treasury Room (SCV4)
Mountain Fortress (LoS)

God, I just don't know what to pick and choose... I have way too many favorite areas that I enjoy on some level or another. I don't exactly have a top 5 as it's more like a top 20.
(CV3 1st Clocktower) Loved this stage the first time i saw it.
(CV64 Villa) Loved the music that went with this stage. Worked out very well.
(SCV4 Stage 1) Ultimately for the 'Theme of Simon'
(CV RoB Stage 1) The fact that it's from Simon's quest
(CV SotN The castle keep) Loved the atmosphere this area bled out. Even the music 'Heavenly doorway' worked out well.

Trick Manor(SCV4)
Underground cavers(SOTN)
Crows witch tower(LoS)
Weapons Factory(Bloodlines)
Dracula's Castle(OoE)
-
My favorite levels:
1.- Clock Tower of Untimely Death (CVIII). I love how you get at the top of the tower, to then repeat the stage from end to start, with the help of the good Grant DaNasty. Also, Clockwork is my favorite CV track ever ;D.
2.- The Atlantis shrine¿?/Sunken City (CVIII). The one with Aquarius BGM, you know... With the post-boss stage, of course.
3.- Balhjet Mountains (CoD). I know that the stages in this CV are very repetitive, but I love this track!!! Also, I like the boss fight, a lot.
4.- Castle corridor (SotN). The first time that I played, I get impressed with the lightning sound and quiet, and then when Dracula´s Castle is played, I get MORE impressed.
5.- City of Haze (PoR). I really like this track (Victorian Fear). And see a 3D building just at the start of the stage, is simply amazing, for me.
-
There are so many that i can't decide :P
Anyway I know which are the worst:
1 Burnt paradise
2 Nation of fools
Both in PoR
-
Doh! I completely forgot about ghostly theater! I agree it is hard to narrow it down to 5 choices, in fact there are a lot of areas i forgot :(
-
Really hard to decide on this one, especially with only 5. Perhaps if it was 50.

AoS: everything
DoS: Condemned Tower
Symphony: Royal Chapel
LoI: House of Sacred Remains/Alchemy Lab
LoS: Clockwork Tower/Outer Wall
-
SotN: Royal Chapel
Bloodlines: Level 2
PoR: 13th Street
DoS: The Lost Village
Chronicles: Level 1
-
1. CV64: Castle Center
2. CV64: Villa
3. SOTN: Underground caverns
4. SOTN: Colosseum
5. SOTN: Library
many more, too
-
1. (SCV4) Death Tower - Rotating Room
2. (SCV4) Treasury
3. (CV SotN) Entrance
4. (CV PoR) Master Keep
5. (CV DoS) The Pinnacle
Many more levels stand out to me, these ones just happen to be extremely memorable!

1. [Curse of Darkness] Garibaldi Temple
I remember my first time entering this stage, the first thing that hit me was the music, simply the most beautiful piece I've ever heard. Then the hallways with stained glass everywhere, the moonlight seeping through the stained glass was just wonderful. Even today, I still turn on the game just to wander around in that area. If only Curse of Darkness have a first person POV camera function...
2. [Lament of Innocence] Garden Forgotten By Time
This stage is quite surreal to me. Castlevania is supposed to be full of death, but this stage is so full of greenery and life, it makes for a good break from the concrete. Little bits of what looks like sunlight seeping through on the ceiling also adds to its wonder. I guess this is what it feels like to be in Castlevania Wonderland.
3. [Symphony of the Night] Inverted Library
Ah... good times with this one. It was crazy trying to get a Schmoo to drop a Crissaegrim. When I finally got one and I accidentally killed another Schmoo, it dropped my second Crissaegrim! I was the happiest person for an hour. I also liked the beastiary of that stage, cleverly made to reference the Wizard of Oz.
4. [Rondo of Blood] Stage 1
I played this stage so much I know exactly where everything is. Every time I revisit this stage, it makes me feel so pro playing it. And of course, Richter has a badass theme song that I could listen to for hours on repeat.
5. [Curse of Darkness] Garibaldi Courtyard
Yet another escape for me, this stage feels strangely relaxing, even though its filled with blood thirsty monsters.

1- The library (SOTN)
I like the regular one more than the inverted one. It's because they reused Lost paintings in the inverted one. While I like the track, the fact they reused a song proves that they didn't have enough time to make a new track for that area and/or added the whole inverted castle idea till the last minute.
2- Olrox's quarters (SOTN)
3-Chapel (SOTN again)
4- Ecclesia (OOE).
I really like the background and Gothic elements
5-Catacombs (SOTN)
mostly because of the theme, Rainbow Cemetery
...5 is not enough.
-
1) Clock Tower (AoS) - Loved the music, loved how hard it was the first time! :p
2) Nest of Evil (PoR) - Loved the boss-rush-like concept.
3) Dracula's Castle (CoD) - First time I played it, I thought "When does it stop??", and it was cool and long.
4) The Waterfalls (SCIV) - Always been a pleasure to play this level.
5) The Condemned Tower (DoS) - Mainly for the Gergot fight. Very good idea to make the whole thing destroyed during the battle.
-
1 Inner quarters Aria of Sorrow
2 The catacombs Symphony of The Night
3 The chapel Symphony of The Night
4 Clock tower Symphony of The Night
5 Underground caverns Symphony of The Night
-
Symphony of the Night still feels like a Castlevania "best of". Rondo of Blood, Super Castlevania IV too.
I'll post my top-5 from the DS games.
Order of Ecclesia: Mechanical Tower/ Styx Passage
(I loved some of the backgrounds)
Order of Ecclesia: Ecclesia
(not the best music track of the game, but lovely backgrounds)
Portrait of Ruin: Dark Academy
(this felt so right for a stage where the boss is Frankenstein's creature, great music too)
Portrait of Ruin: City of Haze/ 13th Street
(essentially the same stage, and I loved both BGMs used, the new one and the classic Iron Blue Intention)
Dawn of Sorrow: Condemned Tower (great music, and also loved the boss. For some reason that big "dinosaur", Gergoth, despite his size, his HP that didn't seem to end, and the swearwords I said until I finally beat him, he looked more pitiful than menacing - I think it was supposed to be some creature that was crippled by the one that captured and imprisoned it)
-
Super CastleVania 4 - Rotating Room
Dracula's Curse - Underground Caverns (Alucard)
Rondo Of Blood - Level 1
SOTN - Inverted Castle
Curse Of Darkness (Trevor's Boss Area)
-
Sky Walkway/Chapel of Dissonance - Harmony of Dissonance
Inner Quarters - Aria of Sorrow
Third Stage - Castlevania 1
Anti-Chapel - Symphony of the Night
The Villa/Hedge Maze - Castlevania 64
-
1) The Inner Quarters
2) The library from Ecclesia
3) The place of the Legion in AoS, I dont remember the name
4) The Castle Keep from Ecclesia
5) The Sky Walkway
