The 1st pic, with a guy in white shirt and pants.
I can't figure it out.
Also, I would really, really LIKE to play this for my JP PS2, but it's unavalabale in most stores, so if someone has it, kindly tell me where you bought it. (or from a torrent?)

Isn't that of Dracula kidnapping Simon's wife? Simon's the guy in the white tux. Dracula is the caped fiend floating behind him with the damsel in his arms. Simon looks like he's about to scream, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!".

Thanks guys for the explanation. (lol at cute lil' white Simon..)
However, I have no plans to acquire it illegally, I just want to buy the PS2 re-release just like in the link.

Translated that paragraph next to the game for ya.
Demonic castle Dracula
1988, the bride was carried off on midst of wedding! In order for her to be rescued, devil Dracula stands up against you! The ultimate
evolution edition of music, image, production and you could call it the same title, it is the masterpiece which remains in history and can shine.
Oh and Japanese discs are NTSC so you could probably play this on a North American PS2 also if you had it modded, had gameshark or swap magic.
-
Thanks! No I'm REALLY itchin' to play it.
lol at Devil Drac.

sure np, I'd recommend keeping a close eye on bidding sites. I'm sure some copies will turn up there, probably some in the buy it now area at reasonable prices. :)
-
I bought it at my local game shop almost a year ago, and since I can't play import games, it's been sitting on my shelf with my other CV games since.
It's nice though. It has a CD some videos you can watch and a little trading card so it's nice to have as a fan.
However I have played it before and it's a good game. SO I definitely suggest you get it if you get the chance.

Reasonable prices? No. I've already tried some sites, cause awhile back I wanted this, but I only saw one on eBay for WAAAAAAAAAAY more than $100. :(

wow, yeah that's way too much money considering the game can be beat in like 20 mins. This game should really be like an extra in COD or LOI.

Well, maybe if they ever make some sort of "Simon Belmont Chronicles" that would be in there. I doubt that would happen though ::)

Yeah that would be kickass, they could make some megabucks putting all simon's adventures in one release. (and it might drive down those crazy ebay prices too) ;)
-
That would be interesting, though I think the original CV Chronicles counts as that, in a way. But yeah, I love the idea of a CV1 Chronicles featuring all the other versions of the game. Maybe NOT the two in CV Chronicles, but original CV1, Haunted Castle, Vampire Killer and CV2(original and arranged version). THAT would make a good CV Chronicles pack!

My thoughts exactly.

As long as it has CV4 in it too. Can't forget about one of the best remakes. :o

Right, that too, casue I own neither a SNES or Wii, and I really wan to play that one :)
-
Yeah, I forgot SCV4! Through that one into the bunch.

Yeah that one was lotsa fun, it was a really long game too, even for a castlevania title. :)
-
I'd be cool if IGA completed all of the cv games from the beginning to 1999 and than made a collection that featured all of them. ( so excluding DOS and AOS that come after that time period, they should be included in a newer collection from after 1999)

hmmm, I'm supportive of you downloading the game and playing it.
*EDITED* Sorry, no ROM links plz *EDITED*
mame roms Bruh.

CASTLEVANIA:
THE SIMON BELMONT CHRONICLES
That'd so sweet. Remake 2.5D CV2.

Gaah! Enough with the topic necromancy! This topic is long DEAD.

I'll post in this supposedly-dead thread
to state that Haunted Castle is a turd.

The last post before those Necromancers jumped in was from November. If you ask me it is deaed.

If somebody has something valuable to add to the thread that could revitalize it I wouldn't consider it necromacy, but what that guy posted would be necromacy. I also don't consider inactive threads dead, just in a state of inactivity.

Yeah, ok

Sorry for bumping this but I got my copy.
I'm hugging it right now. Especially Stage 1 and 2, and I can even finish these stages without taking a hit...
...but WTF IS WRONG WITH STAGE 3?! Those damn jumping Fleamen or something, they're too broken, honestly! I could never reach the area after the floating dining set, what gives?!
Can anyone give some tips?
PS: The PS2 port has a save/load option, but not for your progress, only for changing options.

You can usually get two hits in on them while they're in the middle of their jump, before they even make it to Simon. In a pinch, I recall it's usually best to just duck while they soar right over you.
