20 + year old cliffhanger as well.Which one..
I'd say they should do a retelling of Simon's Quest, and make a sequel that resolves that 20 + year old cliffhanger as well.

What the heck? You wanna' give me back my signature? Thanks. : /
Let Simon rest in peace. We've had plenty of games with him already. If he stared in another game, it would likely be a remake of CV1 or CV2 and we have had plenty of CV1 remakes already. A CV2 remake with either SotN graphics or in 3D would be ok. Actually, a 3D remake of CV2 has the potential to be a great game if executed correctly. I would probably be happy with it seeing how I never go to play the original.
And I don't mean via pale imitators like Gabe. We need the original guy.
What if a Simon's Quest remake contained wall shimmying? Munchkins would absolutely love all that. ;)
Gabe would kick the living crap out of simon
I am speechless, shocked and apalled.
I reiterate, Gabriel Belmont would shove his cyclone boot so far up Simon's unskilled ass that Simon's lower intestines would gain the dash ability

Wow.
I'm going to start a new list. "How to Tell You're a Fanboy".
It'll start with "Insulting the progenitor character of a classic video game series by saying a newer character is 100x better, but without clarifying how."
Yerp.
Simon's toned butt-cheeks would break Gabe's leg off and eat it, thus gaining the dash ability permanently. ^__^
....but if they did Gabe would totally pwn Simon (as long as he doesn't try to kick Simon in his world devouring ass)
And suddenly, the thread turned into a "How Simon could beat up Gabriel
He could, though.
if they did make another simon game though, i'd like them to return to CV1's design principles. rhythmic and deliberate, weighty and restrained.
I'm pretty sure it's mine.
Successor taking things other people made? Sound right to me. Brings back old memories. Looks like he's still up to the same old crap, and never learned his lesson.
On topic: has there ever been a SotN+ style ACCURATE sprite of Simon in his CV2 (box art/manual/whatever) outfit?
I would love a new game with Simon in it. He was always my favorite Belmont, heck I would go for a remake of Super Castlevania IV.Sure and why not make it 3D with LoS graphics. Combat would be similar to LoI in that all you would have is a whip as the main weapon with two types of attacks (weak and controlled, powerful and wild) and of course the classic subweapons. No complex combos and plenty of swinging like the original. And, of course, it would be stage by stage like LoS. No arena combat like LoS.
but someone did do a 3D model using Simon's CV2 armor
Dracula Belmont's armour is red with gold lining
That’s about the only real similarities that I’m seeing
A 3d model inspired by CV2’s armour would be more accurate

This should be the epitome of 3D classicvania and also will likely be very well received by CV fans.
I'm just saying that "inspired" is probably a better word
This topic officially made me chuckle so much I snorted.
Kudos, CV Dungeon. Kudos.
Vampire Killer's Gabriel Fanboyism was hillarious the first 2 pages. Now it's getting old. Fast.
Although Personally, Id like to see more Trevor.

see, there a problem with Gabe right now. He's a vampire. Meaning he is quite vulnerable to Vampire killer. And I dont mean the Combat Cross, I mean Vampire killer, the one used by the OTHER Belmonts. From the OTHER timeline.
I agree on both points. More Trevor is very welcome, and I'm old. :'(
Way to kick a guy in the prunes when he's already down, fella. Hope you're proud of yourself.(click to show/hide)

meaning they could kill him in an instant. Vampire powers? no biggie... They've faced Dracula billions of times. They eat vampire powers for breakfast.
All you have to do to defeat Gabriel is use Agunea.
Considering that Gabe is now Drac, and that the Belmonts wipe their finely toned asses with Dracula's cape, I'll have to concede and admit that Gabeula would probably get pwned.
But only as Dracula.

WOOOOO I WON ON THE INTERNET
he forgets all of that stuff except teleport-fireballs when he becomes Dracula anyway, so it kind of evens out.Why would he?
