Couldn't be happier. Nothing's in stone now, but the ball could start rolling. I love EWJ, MDK and Descent myself (haven't played Dark Alliance), and these dead franchises deserve a rebirth. Especially Descent, it's been a while since Descent 3.
The only thing that would make me happier is if Blizzard got off their asses and made sequels to Blackthorne, Rock N Roll Racing and Norse by Norsewest (Lost Vikings 2).
So, any other lovers of these classic Interplay/Shiny/Bioware games?

I love EWJ, and Rock N Roll Racing is my favorite racing game of all-time. At least RNRR got that GBA port. I loved MDK, but couldn't stand the doctor levels in the sequel.

Y'know, I was wondering for a while what happened to that PSP EWJ project.

No news on it for a very long time. I hope it's still being made. :|

Rock n' Roll Racing is quite awesome. If you've never played the Rare-developed NES game R.C. Pro-Am, I suggest doing so. RNRR is heavily inspired by it.
Blackthorne is indeed also great.
Descent? Love the first one, second one's all right. Third one was a lot of fun, but I recall the story and cutscenes to be atrocious. The Material Defender ceased to be cool once I saw that stupid CG model of him. I never did beat D3... Should play it again someday.

Both Earthworm Jim 3D and MDK are really fun parodies/platformers on 3rd person shooters. I played MDK2 not so long ago, and it's been a while since I played EWJ, but I remember it was a really fun game, however! Very hard also because there was no saving function.
As for Descent, I played 1 and 2, and they were really cool, but heck! The headache you would receive from all that spinning 360 degrees and anti-gravity claustrophobic feeling of the game were a bit of a minus. Oh, well. I guess I shouldn't be playing FPSs if I get dizzy so easily.
