I guess my favorite is DoS. Of that soundtrack, my favorite song is Condemned Tower. After you vote, please state what you favorite song is on that soundtrack.

hmm...

Aria of Sorrow.
Favorite Track: Ohh boy. Where to start... Dark Chapel, Underground Reservoir, Clock Tower, Top Floor, Heart of Fire/Julius' theme, Dracula's Fate.
TL;DR, the whole soundtrack. I really cant pick a favorite out of them all.
Also, I like to think of Castle Corridor as Soma's theme.

Same here. AoS' soundtrack is so underrated. Glad HoD arranged it.

Arria of sorrow for me!!! Favorite track, clock tower!!! Only 4 tracks are arranged from this game, i wish that there was a album with all the tracks arranged, because the arranged versions, are kick ass!!!!
-
All of them had good soundtracks.
-
Hmm I guess if I HAD to choose ONE from Aria it would be the Clocktower. it is just so perfect. the beginning part just... SOUNDS like clockwork! It has bells, and even a background ticking, which is more than can be said for many Clocktower melodies. And the rock part afterward is a worthy successor to The Tragic Prince IMO.

Idk why everyone loves Aria so much. Don't get me wrong there are a few awesome tracks, Inner quarters for one, but the rest seems bland
-
Aria's soundtrack I feel, just couldn't be done justice by the GBA's sound capability. That could be why it feels bland. I mean, i think it sounds great even on the GBA, but a few of the tracks really could have sounded better had they had more options on sound. (and perhaps a disc)
I mean, compare
these,
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow - Castle Corridor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAgShhbugi0#)
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow - Top Floor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U1BUOVyajY#)
with these 2 remixes included with what was it, Lament's OST I think?
(2nd track starts at 4:00)
Castlevania Bonus Tracks from Lament of Innocence (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D__24mpVqEg#)
And HoD doesnt do them justice either. it just turned them into the same rock sound as the rest of the game's music.

Or this one:
Original
Chapel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agx8qgdwm8g#)
Arranged
Requiem for the Dark Souls - Castlevania Lament of Innocence OST (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EF_ckMhfSc#ws)
-
Harmony of Dissonance - Old Enemy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2mgeK3uifI). The rumbling percussion is the star of the show here. Arrestingly intense throughout, it momentarily swells and then pulls back again, seemingly measuring up the listener. It's caught me off-guard more than once and made me jump.
Order of Ecclesia - Welcome to Legend (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4u5Vl5P51Y). Sometimes the simplest tracks are the most affecting ones. Ichihashi manages to invoke the touching sentimentality and longing that's at the heart of Ecclesia without branching out to overt sappy melodrama (see: Yamane's Portrait ending themes).

Each time I listen to this one, it reminds me the melody of Super Metroid's theme.

I think I'd go with DoS. Into the Dark Night, Subterranean Hell, and Pinnacle, were especially great.
-
:o
wow Flame and Dark Nemesis, you guys sold me. Never heard these mixes
-
or this one.
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow Music - Inner Quarters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9AM9y_m-SE#)
(Ignore the random speech, its actually completely irrelevant to anything)
Phantom Palace Fontaine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zusZEEUuZf8#)
AND they are all OFFICIAL remixes.
-
Portrait of Ruin's. I really enjoyed almost every song, particularly Gears Go Awry.
-
Probably OoE. It seemed pretty varied and less tepid than the others. Yamane also seemed to have stepped up after her work in DoS and PoR.

I've never heard that remix before. Where is it from?
-
The AoS/DoS OST. It had some arrange versions on it. One for AoS and one for DoS.
-
Symphony of the Night, that is all. [JK]
Harmony of Dissonance for me.
I like the originality of the soundtrack. Something sets it apart from the rest of the Metroidvanias.
Successor of Fate and Chapel of Dissonance are my top favourite tracks and they remained to be my top favourites on my overall list.
I know most people doesn't like to be welcomed to Castlevania with slow BGM, but I find Successor of Fate to be quite a welcoming track, it sounds lost, kind of like how most people would feel when they are entering an ominous castle for the first time. It really gives the castle a different atmosphere.
And there's Chapel of Dissonance. It almost gave me a feeling of ascending to heaven, which is great for a track for a chapel located on the topmost area of the castle. I see clouds~
To the Center of Dracula's Castle is another track that get my adrenaline going in the game. Whenever I listen to it, it's like "Get moving!!!"
I also like Luminous Cavern with its warped chords, it made my journey through those caverns bearable [<- I never did like underground stages/levels in any way shape or form].
Kudos to HoD's composer~
I really wished that he would come back for more Castlevania.

I think I'm going to go with Order of Ecclesia on this one. Vanishing, Edge of the Sky, Hard Won Nobility, Dissonant Courage, Sorrows Distortion, Cantus Motetten... there are loads of incredible tracks there. I could certainly keep going.
The runner up is Harmony of Dissonance. Very unconventional, unique, and perplexing... all in good ways, of course. I don't think I'll ever hear anything like that again.

It's French.
-
Chalk up another for Aria of Sorrow. Destined Cruz (Castle Corridor), Top Floor, Clock Tower, and Heart of Fire are all standouts. Then you've got tracks like Floating Garden, Underground Reservoir, and even the Chaotic Realm which complement the areas. The soundtrack is maybe not completely perfect across the board but as a whole it really added depth and mystique to the game experience, something I can’t completely say of the other entries (although Harmony does well, and it grows on me more every time I play).
-
I want an official Aria of Sorrow OST arranged album......damn you Konami!!! >:(
-
DoS: A Fleeting Respite, Pitch Black Intrusion, Into the Dark Night, Dracula's Tears

Portrait of Ruin wins this easily. The soundtrack has incredible variety, excellent balance, a couple tasteful remixes, all tracks are appropriately used, and that Castlevania flavor is maintained throughout. The soundtrack makes PoR a better game.
-
It's interesting to see how varied the responses are. I voted for Aria of Sorrow, but my opinion has as much to do with the great songs on the OST as with the lack of filler. And while AoS is in the lead currently, most of the rest of the games are fairly evenly supported. Most polls here have one or two clear favorites, and a handful of scattered votes here and there.
-
It's French.
I know. It's still irrelevant and speaks NOTHING related to the game, AT ALL. Just some random shit.

Yep. I don't know why the arranger (I think it's Yamane) put that random speech inside this nice arrangement.
-

Man, never heard them? they are one of the great official arranged pieces........................if they could just remove that goddamn lyrics out of phantom palace fountaine!
-
Probably Order of Ecclesia. I think it certainly has the best boss music, anyways. AoS comes second for me, though I dig CotM's original music.
-
It´s really difficult, but...
I see Portrait of Ruin´s Victorian´s Fear always awesome, since I saw the first trailer. Then when I played the game (a few days after its release), I get amazed to hear that track in the very first stage (the firts portrait). After that, The Gears go Awry its a very wonderful track too (very ad hoc to the stage, in my opinion).
Olny one complaint, as a Bloodlines sequel, I would prefer more arranged tracks from it (the Iron Blue Intention one was ok for me), like Reincarnated Soul, Prayer for a Tragic Queen and Calling from Heaven. But I have to admit, that Cross your Heart (from Haunted Castle) was simply great :D.
