I just picked it up today and I gotta say I am having a lot of fun with it. I never actually beat the first OoT fully before so this should be a fun experience for me. I like how they enhanced the graphics, it has really nice texture work but it still looks somewhat like an N64 game. Not too old, but not too new and it strikes a really good balance. Nothing is new really which is my only flaw, I mean even the port for Link to the Past on the GBA had an extra dungeon in it. I just beat the 2nd dungeon and just did a few sidequests for good measure.

This will be the first game I get for my 3DS.. am very excited! Haven't played OoT since it first came out on the n64.

oh shit its out?! Damnit now I gotta buy a 3ds

Picked up my 3DS yesterday and then got Zelda today. It really is a whole new experience utilizing the 3D effect in the game. There are other 3D games out there but this is the first genuine time we actually have a proper depth perception as well. It looks really good and is a lot more smoother then the N64 title. But for those who're wondering if this game is like the gold cart or the grey cart... It's like the grey cart. I could tell immediately when I noticed the moon symbol was gone and replaced with the other symbol.

Not just that; the chanting in the Fire Temple's music is gone too.

I started to play it today and man, it's damn awesome. It feels like I'm staring through a little window into the land of Hyrule. The 3D is really well done, and using the gyroscope functions to aim the slingshot feels great! :D

The chanting in the Fire Temple was one of the best things about Ocarina --not that I'm drawn in by all this...

I can't wait for them to release other N64 games onto this nifty little thing. My brother would like to see Starfox on there and as for me, I would like them to port over CV64/LoD. I think that game would benefit with a little bit of graphical upgrading and some "in-depth" play.

Majoras Mask... thats what I wanna see
and yeah sux about that song... bullshit reason to have to change it

You aware Star Fox 64 3D has already been announced with footage and that?
Game's got nothin' on the original, though. No Star Fox game captivates me like the SNES original.

That was a really good game for it's time. A shame we didn't get the sequel with all the popularity of the first :P

Well, you see, nowadays, video game companies are tend to get for the worst at making video games, all in the name of money.......they don't care to please the fans, only how they will get quick and easy money!!!

I tried playing a ROM of the second SNES game, and it's pretty darn wonky. Not sure I like it. Or, it may just take some getting used to. Perhaps one day I'll care enough to try it out. Someday...
But seriously, the first Star Fox still blows me away. Makes me really curious why nobody's been able to make a game like it since. I'd love to have a sort-of remake of that game. That is, keep all the visuals the same, y'know, but up the processing power so that there's no slowdown and crappy draw distance. Would be sweeeeeeeet.

Really? Cuz so far all the music sounds the same as the N64 version to me so far. Woulda been cool if they would have went with remastering the music though, would have been sick to hear some modern versions of these songs in the game and have the ability to choose the classic or new music. Oh well, pretty glad that the game seems untouched so far. Just got up to the Water Temple and so far it's not as hard as I remembered it being :o

When I used to go to the Fire Temple I used to listen to the chanting and it sounded like:
"Hey Castlevania, hey Castlevania, hey Castlevania, Ayyye I'm hardcore!"
:P
I think if you hear that youtube video above, you'll hear kinda what I heard. :P
