Well.  LoS is finished and there appears to be nothing new on the horizon.  HoD will entertain those of us without 360s for a little while, but by most accounts --it's a mediocre experience.  25th Anniversary's a bust --no news is bad news.  Now what?

				We.........

 Shit.

What is there left to do?

 ...
 ...
 ...
 ...We could party.
 ...For no good reason.

Now we wait and see If Konami continues with Cox and Mercury Studios in the very near future.

I know LOS has been approved for a sequel but that can take a while.

Or if they give the old team another chance (IGA) maybe we will get to see the Symphony sequel or the Demon Castle Wars finally brought to life.

Castlevania has always had a unique vision compared to other games...  The artistry and music really set it apart, but now that it's being reinvented as something more --generic...  Well...  --It's really hard to argue with you...  I enjoy other games of course...  But again not much on the horizon --Skyward Sword perhaps, but that's about it...
-
I was planning on playing Skyward Sword. I'm playing the Minish Cap right now.  :)

-
I'm playing the Ocarina of Time 3D remake.... it's niiiiiiice.
I WISH I were playing some kind of Castlevania game on the 3DS, but no dice.  Damn you, Konami. :\

So, play a franchise unrelated to vampires?

 lol

I think there's nothing left for us, we can always wait and lure the off topic, there are amazing games coming we can talk about, the post-summer gaming landscape will be incredible, I'm kinda glad there's no more CV this year so I can focus in the other titles

 Such as?

You can't wait one month or two? Two huge VG conferences are scheduled before the end of September, there's plenty of time before the announcement of a new CV.

Also, not tired of making threads like that or with only aim to bash Konami? Relax and wait a sec, dude. VG industry is a big thing and the production of a game needs time, we can wait a bit. (But if they ennounce nothing before the 25th anniversary, that'd be f***ing lame).

What other series out there actually pleases its fans?

Anyways, I'll just be looking forward to BloodRayne Betrayal for now.

 Zelda.  :)
-
I am very excited to see what happens with the Lords of Shadow related CV game, but for now at least I hav other things to look forward to, mainly Uncharted 3 and Arkham City

-
				Such as?

 Batman: Arkham City
 Assassins Creed Revelations
 The Elder Scrolls: Skrym
 Uncharted 3
 Driver: San Francisco
 Saints Row 3
 El Shaddai
 Max Payne 3 (?)
 Deus Ex: Human Revolution
 Rage
 Gears 3
 Forza 4
 From Dust
 Dark Souls
 Battlefield 3
 The Witcher 2 (360)
 Metal Gear Solid Collection
 Sonic Generation
 Rayman Origins
 RE: Racoon City
That sleeper you never count on it

 Also, I haven't played
 Portal 2
 Dead Space 2
 Shadows of the Damned

So I'm pretty busy this year (not that i'll buy all those games, but you get my point, this year has been/is/will be da zhit for videogames  :)

-
I honestly doubt IGA's giving up just yet on CV. Wait a year or two. :P

Speaking of other games, Operation Raccoon City looks wonderful.
-
Wait for the next one, whenever that may be.

Untill then, im gonna party and bullshit!

And you know, play some games.
-
Now's a perfect time for me to catch up on my huge backlog of games (I have a bad habit of buying something just because it's on sale). The weird thing is that finishing Resurrection made me want to play Dante's Inferno, and now God of War III. Weird for me because I generally like to space hack-and-slash games pretty far apart.

And the recent news of the Double Dragon II game for Xbox Live has kind of filled the CV news void for now. But only just.  :)

Came here to say pretty much this. Though waiting kinda sucks.
-
Play Tetris! Play it and time will goes by quickly and before you know it, a new Castlevania game has already announced.

You have forgot to mention 2 masterpieces as Xenoblade chronicles and The last story.Oh yeah i forgot, there is no  release date yet  for American people. Ooops  :P
-
It's the 25th anniversary of the series. If they don't announce anything at TGS I'll be left in despair. D:

A remake of a 10 years old Zelda (that I don't even like that much) won't fix my need of CV. =/

There are planned Europe releases though, correct?

That's enough for me. Nintendo may have made the Wii region locked, but that's nothing a tiny bit of hacking didn't fix.
-

I'm actually more excited for Xenoblade than Skyward Sword. Will most likely pick up both though, since they're the swansongs of the console. Unless Dragon Quest X is really coming for the Wii. That's a must for me as well.

Right now Castlevania is back to normal, production-speed-wise. What other old franchise gets a new game EACH and EVERY year? There probably exists one, but I can't think of any right now. I am pretty comfortable with having a new game every two years instead of all the effin time. But yeah, we've been spoiled with so many Castlevania games in the past so it takes a while getting used to the fact that 2011 may very well be that year when nothing really happened (the HoD port barely counts).

In the meantime I'm busy plying through Yakuza 4 right now. Also, I picked up Darksiders which is way better than I thought. I'm glad I didn't listen to the haterz.

I really want a new handheld TRPG though. Jeanne D'Arc looks interesting to me. Too bad is was never released in Europe. Thank god for Ebay.
-
I wouldn't mind waiting a while longer for a new Castlevania game, but if all you're going to get is Lords of Shadow there isn't really a light at the end of the tunnel.  :)

Furk. Does anyone have a flashlight?

In all seriousness, I say in terms of a new game, we just wait to see if Konami throws something new out. LoS just ended, so we can't really expect a new game soon. However, it's not the anniversary of CV yet. That's on September 26. We can at least expect an announcement of a new game (hopefully IGAvania IMO) on that date.

Yes, Xenoblade is scheduled for 2 september with a fantastic collector's edition

About The last story we have to wait untill 2012
-
Brushing up on my NES and Genesis collections, and starting an Intellivision one. In the meantime, I'll be playing Street Fighter, emulating old DOS games, (SimCity 2000, D, and Wing Commander II and III = <3), waiting for TGS to pass, and hoping they nuke the LoS sequel (is shot.)

-
I'll be replaying Castlevania 3 and Order of Ecclesia, finishing Chrono Cross(DAMN that game is long!), playing some Sonic, some Metal Gear...

-
I'm still incredibly disappointed we didn't get an announcement of a brand new Castlevania on 3DS or WiiU. This year was the series anniversary, and Konami shafts it in favor of MGS and ZoE HD remakes? Shit Konami, what are you doing?

LoS had potential to be a good game but the last DLC took a giant shit all over my hopes for the reboot. I don't want anymore of this reboot. Take it away, please. Haven't bothered to buy HoD, don't plan to ever.

Castlevania is dead to me for now, sorry I sound so bitter.

That said, I've been too busy playing OoT 3DS and other games to care about Konami anyway.
-
It's the 25th anniversary of the series. If they don't announce anything at TGS I'll be left in despair. D: Even if they announce a anniversary title at TGS, it would have to be near completion to make it out FOR the anniversary year. Even then, there'd be little to no hype for it. The other side of the coin is they announce it, but pull what Square Enix did with Dissidia. "We are making this game for the anniversary!!! OOOOPS!! Sorry, give us a little time and we'll release it a year off(belated).". That's two likely sides of the "Good News" scenario regarding a 25th Anniversary announcement. The "Bad News" possibility is that they don't plan on showing anything, and the LoS DLC and HD port ARE our anniversary gifts. Either way, Konami dropped the ball on the anniversary thing. Had they wanted to make it stellar, they would've started development on an anniversary title a year or so prior to this year, keep it in the dark, then announce it at the beginning of the year(or E3), build up hype, then release it later this year(October sounds about right). So, either way, the whole anniversary is shot.

As for nothing happening in the CV world, I just pop in time to time, but my enthusiasm for the series has slowly been loosing momentum in the past couple of years. I got other games to play, and other series I'm looking forward to more than CV right now. Konami, in general, has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Oddly enough, I've never been a Zelda fan, and I'm having blast with TOoT 3D and am anticipating Skyward Sword. Also, totally hope Project: Rainfall has makes some real waves. Definitely hope XenoBlade and Last Story get released stateside(though I could care less for the Pandora one). EDIT: Operation Rainfall is a failure. NoA have no plans in releasing those games stateside. They can eat shit. So many damn game companies are letting me down. DAMMIT, why can't you be GOOD?!
-
				Zelda.  :)

It has hit some low points, like the incredibly boring Phantom Hourglass, and the CD-i games.

This is the only good thing to come from those CD-i titles:

Phantom Hourglass is one of the worst Zelda game? No wonder I never like it.
-
I liked Phantom Hourglass. It was Spirit Tracks that I didn't care for, but I even played that until the last dungeon.

YES! I'm tired of watching my Wii collect dust and some RPG's will surely fix that.

Ocarina of Time shattered my passion for Zelda.  I remember back in the day, I played through it sort of half-heartedly --much like Lords of Shadow...  After Link to the Past, those blocky graphics were so hard on the eyes...  I didn't like how modular Hyrule felt --and I H-A-T-E-D what they did to the Lost Woods...  The continuity plot holes (going backward and forward in time) drove me nuts, but that paradoxical ending completely broke the game for me.  I know I'm in the minority --Ocarina is worshipped much like Final Fantasy 7...

Lords of Shadow aggravates me for trying to be something it's not.  Ocarina aggravates me for being what it is.

Regardless, Skyward Sword really looks like the breath of fresh air Zelda has needed for a long long time.  I'm surprised how much I'm looking forward to it...

-
They say play the best game in a series to get to know it and OoT was the game that got me into the Zelda series.

-
I know I'm in the minority --Ocarina is worshipped much like Final Fantasy 7... Or Super Castlevania 4. For me, it was an alright CV game, but a mere mention that you think it's anything less that "stellar" brings forth the fanboys. And, of course, the few I've seen mention they dislike it, are beaten down with wooden clubs, skinned and hung from telephone poles. Of course, how you feel about OoT, I feel about Super Mario 64.
-

I agree, there sure are a lot of SCV4 worshippers here.

				and the CD-i games.

Well those are not technically part of the series. They are just called Link or Zelda, but not The Legend of Zelda. That's why Nintendo never acknowledges them, I think.
