I've just gotten into it last year, and finished up just as Season 3 was closing out. Incredible show. The writing is superb, and ties together so many aspects. It's all brought to life by a competent filming crew. A true master piece. I've been following Season 4 very closely.
Finally, someone in here who likes the show.
Have you noticed that Walt is literally beginning to become unhinged from reality. Granted, it's a scary situation to be in, but he seems caught in a loop of paranoia to the point that he can't let it go. And what the hell does he think is going to happen if he kills Gus? Upon Gus' death all assets of his business automatically get transfered to Walt, like a videogame or something?
The reason Gus is so powerful (besides being a cold as ice mofo. The man looks like a black mister rogers/psychopath) is because of his chain of restaurants all across what is got to be the western coast and mid-west of the United States, not to mention now parts of Mexico since he took out his competition (nice move from Gus btw). Without a manner of distribution, Walt couldn't just step up to the plate and become head drug lord. Upon Gus' death, any legally held assets would go to next of kin, who would definitely kill Walt in a heartbeat.
Yeah, I was wondering that too. I'm not sure where he's going with this, but perhaps from the ashes he'll raise his own group? Usually he ahs a good plan of action, or at least a good concept, but this time he's just shooting in the dark out of paranoia and revenge. Though it makes me all the more interested in how it'll play out. The storm is brewing.
