After seaching about some chronology stuff about castlevania, i found "Castlevania - The Arcade"
I never heard anything about it.
""Akumajo Dracula: The Arcade" is a Castlevania game released in Japan for the arcades in October 2, 2009. The game features first person action where up to two players can grab a whip/gun control and slash/shoot at enemies that appear on the screen. Players choose between a generic "Vampire Hunter", "Lady Gunner", or "Little Witch". The game has 9 revealed bosses so far, being Death, White Dragon, Dullahan, Minotaur, Water Dragon, Werewolf, Harpy, Death (again), and Dracula.
This game utilizes the E-Amusement Pass, which can be used to save progress in this game or unlock features in this or other Konami arcade games. "

Are some pics there too.
So far ive seen, it looks like House of the Dead. And so many questions upcoming there for me...lol
gonna search on youtube now...
sry, if this is already old!
-
Yup, it's old.
Many people think this game looks really cool. At the time it came out we were really hoping they'd port it over to the Wii since the game seems to use a 'whip' baton thing to work... though that was before Kinect and PSMove, so I suppose it could be ported to any system now...
...if Konami cared. Since that came out a few years back and I fail to see a port, I don't think they care.
-
Yeah this is like 2 years old maybe, but really awesome. It has my favorite sound trackof any CV games, definitely worth listening to if you can get it
-
Would be a big Suprise if a Port of this would be done for annyversity... :x
Anyways, looks like fun. Like playing games like HotD.
yes, 2009...im just a slow f***
-
They apperently planned to release this in the UK, but they only released a flayer as a total tease.
-
critics trashed this game, but I think it looks fun. I love railshooters so that may have something to do with it. A Wii port would've been great, or even better - a kinect/move port, for better graphix! Not that own a kinect or a move.
I doubt we'll ever hear about this game from Konami again though.
-
I really wanna play this game. Sucks that we won't be seeing a release on home consoles, and being released over here. A totally cool thing they could do is release the game for Wii, bundled with the OST and ReBirth.
...Of course, like that'll ever happen.
On-rails games are totally my style. I had a lot of fun when Resident Evil moved into that genre.
Of course, Resident Evil uses guns...

Why do some of you keep suggesting the WII when it'll be much better suited for PS3 in pretty much every way

Well, I thought that suggestion up, like, back in early 2010 I think. Course now we got PSMove and Wii U, so whatever.
-
At the time there was no PSMove.
Now we do have that, plus Kinect. And later on, WiiU.
-
By now it would be much more appropriate to release this on the PS3 with Move support to retain the HD vizualz. I'd be all over that.
Both this and Silent Hill: The Arcade need console ports. I wanna play 'em both very much.
-
Konami could bundle them together on one blueray. OMG Konami Horror Arcade Collection: Castlevania & Silent Hill! I would buy it.
-
I think it would be a better move for Konami, financially speaking, to port both those games to Wii as there is a much larger number of people that have a Wii than have Kinect & Move combined. Something to the order of 80m wiis vs about 20m kinect + move worldwide. Besides, I don't think the graphics would take that much of a hit anyway.
*runs away and hides out alone with his logic... damn you logic, damn you.*
-
Then again, the Wii is dying. The kinect and move may have a smaller user base, but there's a greater chance for them to be around for a few more years, with third party support.
-
True, but then I highly doubt they're gonna release these two games at all.
They should have done it last year if at all. Oh well, there's always Wii U I suppose.
-
I think the American demographic that would want to play, and buy, Castlevania and Silent Hill the Arcade are the demographic least likely to actually own a kinect or move.
On top of that, the amount of the demographic above that would actually purchase a kinect or move just for one of or both of those games is even less.
Konami probably knows this, and we'll never see it ported.
-
Sounds like it's time to try to get an arcade board for each of these and donate them to the MAME team.
-
I think a Wii version is best since Move is an OBVIOUS rip-off (wii Fit, meet Move Fit), and Kinect is kinda lame.
-
If it wasn't for the reported backwards compatibility between Wii U and Wii I'd say it's a bit risky to port those two games this late in the game. However, arcade shooters are fairly popular, so depending on how well they did in the arcades of Yamato it might be worth it to do it.

Not to be rude, but... your logic is a bit flawed. Just because Move is a rip-off (which I absolutely agree it is) doesn't mean a Wii-version would be best. The PS3 could probably handle the graphics a whole lot better than the Wii. But I dunno. I just want to play the game, regardless of which console it ends up on. And that would be - no console at all, unfortunately.
-
Move has the same problem as Kinect, if you don't stay in proximity of the camera, your gone!
The wii does not have this problem, Therefore I'd rather play a version of the game when I back up I won't lose complete control.

You need to stay in the Wii's sensor range.
Of course, staying in range is near to no problem. Kinect isnt nearly as ineffective or unresponsive as people said. Can't speak for Move, since I never used it.
But uh... How about multiplatform, guys?

Everyone wins end of story no problems ;D

Wii's sensor range is Far wider than that of Move and Kinect, mostly because the sensors are...... (DUN DUN DUN!)
In the Controller itself, granting it way further Range.
that "sensor bar" is just two lamps emitting a UV light that the Controller picks up, you can replicate the sensor bar with two candles.
-
That's why the Wiimote can be used with a PC with little effort as long as you have blutooth adapter.

You meant Infrared. But you get an A for effort.
You can also make your own sensor bar (and power it with USB, too) if you wanted said Wiimotes to work on your PC. ;)

as long as they release all the ports at the same time so we can choose which one we want right away.
-
at least a console release would be very wise since the US apparently Hates Arcades...... *sigh*
