Gametrailers did a pretty cool retrospective on the series last year or something. It had multiple parts and was a much better 25th Anniversary thing than this IGN article will ever be. Though even that felt slightly incomplete and rushed at times. I want a 2,5 hour documentary on the series. With interviews and never before seen footage of the games being in development. Also, lots of footage from cancelled games. And stuff. I'm not saying IGN should do this, but.. someone. Except it's probably not possible so many years later.

Definitely. I hadn't considered it before, but the lack of Shao Kahns in IGN's attempt is a major failing.
