Whelp, Konami may not be doing anything for the 25th anniversary, but I sure as fuck am!

Sindra...
You and I, must cosplay together sometime.
-
Sindra, you're awesome! :) Looking forward part 2! :)
-
Awesome work Sindra. 8)
-
Fantastic job. Waiting for part two.
-
Same here. Good stuff.
-
Excellent video SINDRA, your passion runs deep! You bear a striking resemblance to one of my irl friends so that's also a plus :)
Part 2 should be entertaining. You would make IGA proud ;)
-
You would make IGA proud ;)
Even though I totally poked fun at him. ;D
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Part 2 is already shot and awaits editing for next week's release!
-
Oh holy hell! I will never look at SOTN the same again after seeing the start of this video! Even my hack/remake will surely feel the sting of the taint it has received from such blasphemy!
........................ nah, I'm just playin. ;D It's good to see clips from the various games in the serious included in the vid, and the commentary seems dead accurate too! On a side note, this has to be the FIRST time in my life where I have actually seen a white girl wearing bigger hoop earrings than even a Puerto Rican girl would wear!
........... and for anyone thinking of screaming "racist" at me, let me point out two obvious things:
1)get a sense of humor :-*
and
2)I happen to be a Puerto Rican man dating a white girl. 8)

LMAO at the heart in the candle stick! I really enjoyed this! Good job.
-
 for sindra-sama :D
-
Well now, that's quite the set of costumes you have there. Good mix of DXC and SotN.
It seems you're doing the series a proper tribute. Is it only going to be two parts, or more? You've got a lot of ground to cover yet. Though, I suppose most of the explanation and backstory is out of the way now.
-
Yeah, it's only going to be a 2-parter, but we're delving right into things for part 2, and will cover pretty much a little bit of everything.
-
Someone's come a long ways since their first videos. ;)
Nice cosplay bit (you'd never catch me doing this of course) at the beginning and nice job giving the series it's anniversary props that Konami has refused to do (they managed to give the Gradius series a boxset of music, and PSP saw a collection a short time before it's 20th, I believe Gradius may have turned 25 last year).

One thing I wanna ask: Weren't the false hints also in the original Japanese script of CV2 (e.g. the graveyard duck)?
-
I am very poor at listening English, but the cat is cute.
One thing I wanna ask: Weren't the false hints also in the original Japanese script of CV2 (e.g. the graveyard duck)?
Yes. Graveyard duck is villager's lie.
-
Hells yeah!! Bring on part 2. Castlevania style. Friggin' love the humor. BTB knock down one of those candles again, only this time try and fit a castlevania pot roast under it for the hell of it!!! Nice work Sindra and company.
-
One thing I wanna ask: Weren't the false hints also in the original Japanese script of CV2 (e.g. the graveyard duck)?
True, but I was focusing more on the American issues with the game, since that's what I know. Sorry for the confusion.
So yeah...Gametrailers featured my vid and already 2 & 1/2 out of the 3 comments are assholish.
-
So where's part 2? Eager to watch it..
-
KEEP PLAYING: Rewind - Castlevania 25th Anniversary Tribute (Part 2) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMn62WtA2B8#ws)
This one was originally combined with Part 3 into one large part, but my video editor couldn't deal with the HUGE memory and processor usage and kept crashing, so I had to split it up into Part 2 and Part 3 respectively.
This worked out well as what was the beginning of the mega part 2 is slower with not as much humor, and I was afraid people would get bored before they got to the 2nd half of it.
-
These are awesome! I liked the one bit with the cat.
-
Great work!!! I really enjoyed watching part II!!!
-
lol "Sotn was the first to include RPG elemts such as gathering exp points"
Why do I feel like nobody played Simon's quest?
-
I added a new note about that.
Honestly, when I played Simon's Quest waaaaaaaaay back in the day (keep in mind, I never owned a Nintendo growing up), I didn't have the benefit of a manual and I had no idea that I was actually leveling up as I collected hearts until someone casually pointed it out to me once. It's just been so long that I totally forgot about it.
My bad.
-
It did end a little abruptly, but it being a last minute split episode makes sense. Very good stuff so far. I eagerly await part 3.
-
Once again I am pleased. Good job Sindra.
Haterz will never understand...
-
KEEP PLAYING: Rewind - Castlevania 25th Anniversary Tribute (Part 3) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7e7WrMeQjc#ws)
This was a bit faster paced than Part 2 and obviously closes up better.
-
Great video, I liked the 3rd part the best for sure. You pretty much said EVERYTHING I was thinking about the games and series in general in it, Sin. Especially about the 2d sequels basically being like SOTN Light, versions 2,3,4, etc. (basically remake upon remake).
The sad part is that the new gfx in all of the 2d games since SOTN have been nowhere near as good as it, and just get more and more cartoonish and flat (ESPECIALLY OOE). What's funny is that it seems like even fan made games (I.E. soul of dracula) come up with more creative stage ideas than even Konami does. Well here's hoping that what I am working on will be creative enough and have enough new twists to add some more life to the series. :)
-
It's also worth mentioning that other games that have little to nothing to do with Castlevania, capture the atmosphere and feel possibly in a better way than the official ones:
-Bloodrayne Betrayal (PSN)
-Soul of Darkness (DSi)
and a few others!
They are eating CV's Lunch!
-
I'm considering doing a Bloodrayne review once I finish it. I sunk all of my free time editing this huge honking project.
-
You should of had the glass toss and sound effect in Act 1, but standing ovation! lol
-
Great ending to it all. Very much enjoyed that three part special.
"There was a game that was actually for the Wii, came out on disk... We were-" "No there wasn't."
Hahaha.

So hey guys....if you really liked my Castlevania video tributes and don't mind writing up a short email to nominate me for an award and boost my fragile ego a tad, the 1st Internet Reviewer Awards are being held by Critic TV. The 1st Internet Reviewer Award Show - Corrected (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtsW_BJCSg0#ws)
Better to have a sorta-known Castlevania fan reviewer than a little-known one, right? =D
