Just wanted to get this off my chest.
The way I see it, sequels to Aria could work only if they drop the "trying to resurrect Dracula through Soma" shit. Hes gone and dead, and there are more than a few vampires who I imagine would WANT him that way so THEY can take his place.
That Light Novel that takes place after Dawn for example, is a perfect example. it doesnt revolve around Dracula and his power.
Thats the only way it could work.
And progress the characters some. make it a bit further down the line, so Soma is a bit older, and you can make him a vampire hunter along with Julius. I mean, What better vampire hunter than the inheritor of the Vampire King's powers right?

hmmm
I think I prefer the AoS bad ending/DoS Julius Module. It shows Soma succumbing, fuck that happily ever after fairytale shit. Yeah I know it's not fair to Dracula but who cares, it'll just mean more games. Soma turns into a vampire, Julius defeats him keeping his "promise." 100 years later he resurrects as Dracula and the cycle begins once again, just like how St. Germain described might happen ("perhaps they will remember your fight, or perhaps it'll start anew.")
Only problem is, when Dracula resurrects in 2135, how will he get his castle back? For those that don't like "cv taking place in the future," have you watched or read Vampire Hunter D? It could play out in a similar fashion.
On the other hand, in DoS ending Arikado says there will be another Dark Lord that may or may not be Soma, so that could mean Galamoth could try to rise to power, he could be manipulating other Dark Lord candidates to do the work for him, etc.
just my thoughts o__o

I want to see the story concluded and maybe opened to new pathways, but it should be more about the living instead of the dead. I'd love to see Julius as an ancient old badass - not hopping around like Dante on steroids, but as a sage-like supporter. And maybe have him die in the game while knowing that the Belmonts don't need to keep watch anymore (since he is sure that the "operation" will be taken care by Soma and the rest). A true ending to it all. Soma wouldn't be a silly kid anymore - he would have grown up and dealed with his feelings towards Mina. So, this time a cult leader wouldn't be able to get to him through her. Also, he should have pimp clothes again.
I would perhaps address the Dracula question early, but subvert it almost immediately; Soma wouldn't have to fear turning into Drac anymore. Instead he would master the power he wields and his two sides would manage to coexist (kind of like Ghost Rider and Dan Ketch / Johnny Blaze). So, he accepts being Dracula, but learns to control himself.
Also, what is this Light Novel you speak of?

In my opinion, the series should have Aria of Sorrow as its end point on the timeline. DoS didn't advance the story at all. Castlevania is about the forces of good preventing Dracula from destroying humanity. Without Dracula and his castle, it is not Castlevania.

Too bad he doesn't intend to finish translating it. Why won't Konami do official translations and distribute them around the world. This way no matter what language you speak, you can read and enjoy the novel.

I'd like a Sorrow game where Soma is around Julius's age, mainly because he'd look pretty badass with a goatee and mustache.

That's cool, but unfortunately, it's yet again something Konami hasn't bothered to translate. It's so strange they give the goodies in Japanese, since CV is small potatoes in Japan.

Focus on Galamoth, not lame-ass DoS villain-types trying to take Dracula's place dear lord they were like Castlevania's stooges.
With the position for 'dark lord' empty, it is a good time to bring Galamoth into the main series as a main villain. Galamoth has the potential to be pretty menacing.
-
I was thinking kore along the lines of people like Olrox, or even Incubi/Succubi like the one from the SoTN Drama CD. Know what I mean? But Galamoth could work.
-
Galamoth rules. I would love to see his rivalry with Drac fleshed out.

Tell me You get photon canons and Not a Single Fucking Cell Phone?
Bullshit.
Say whatever, but DoS would have been more accurate AND had a waaaaaaaaaaaay better story with Cellphones.
AoS is exceptional since they were in another dimension.
