I was watching Interview with the Vampire the other night too, i like that movie XD
I thought Tom Cruise made a great Lestat, better than Stuart Townsend in Queen of the Damned anyway

Queen of the Damned was a piece of crap milking of Anne Rices work and I never would have watched it until I got upset with her for disparaging her own work on the Chronicles after she started writing all those Jesus books.
Also, Tom Cruise is a lunatic, but I do love his performance in Interview. Definitely one of my favorite vampire movies despite them screwing up the ending somewhat.
Back on topic. Yeah, no, Claudia was only about 8 years old or so when she was turned by Louis & Lestat.
EDIT: Huh! Did you guys know there was a manga adaptation?

In Rondo, Maria was 12. Therefore, she'd be older than Claudia and probably approaching puberty. If she had been turned during Rondo, she'd be pretty much a loli-vamp.

I really have to wonder what Maria would be like if she turned via the curse of Dracula. Say Shaft already unlocked her hidden abilities, then carried her off to Castlevania before Richter could rescue her. What would she be like then? A young 12-year old vampire with bastardized versions of her magical powers maybe? This could make a good story Super Waffle.

I don't know how it would be but I bet it won't be pretty, more like creepy. That's why we don't see many vampire kids.

I really don't know if Maria would act in that way once turned. I think she'd be more like Claudia. Still very much like a child, but with vampire tendencies; minus the sex thing of course cause she's only 12.

Naw, I think Dracula would wait a little longer and have another use for her.
The dark servants Shaft had gathered in Dracula's castle had a plan. Rather than going about the rather complicated, risky task of attempting to win over the allegiance of the evil lord's half-vampire son before setting forth to dominate the human world, they decided to awaken their master with the usual sacrifice of a single virgin. Fortunately enough, as a result of the sudden disappearance of Richter Belmont, a "volunteer" had presented herself at just the right time.
Maria Renard lay helpless and unconscious atop Dracula's coffin. Her wavy golden hair was freely splayed across the stone lid, and the only thing covering her nude form is a thin, pale death shroud pulled up to her collarbone. The young huntress had put up an amazing fight for such a fair maiden upon entering the cursed castle, but she had soon found herself overwhelmed and easily captured by its demonic inhabitants.
A red-haired succubus stood to the side of the makeshift altar. She was holding Maria's folded green dress, as she had been the minion responsible for preparing the captive's body as an offering. Shaft led the the ceremony in his ghostly form and, in the ultimate act of cruelty, instructed Richter to be the one to use the sacrificial dagger for its fatal purpose. The corrupted vampire hunter's loyalty was sealed when he plunged the blade into his former comrade's chest with sinister delight.
Maria's final bloodcurdling scream echoed throughout the entire castle as her blood spilled onto the coffin. In the depths of one of the castle's many dungeons, Prince Alucard heard the chilling sound. After realizing this could only mean the resurrection ritual was complete, he vowed to defeat his father for the sake of the poor murdered girl.
And so Dracula was revived again.
Besides, I've done enough with brainwashed lolis after that Kiddy Grade fanfic.
