Title: Castlevania "Fan Council"? What say you?
Post by: cecil-kain on October 12, 2011, 09:34:40 AM
A few weeks ago, Successor the Red suggested the creation of a Castlevania "Fan Council" to advocate on behalf of the fanbase and provide leadership to movements like Operation: Akumajo.  Now that the Anniversary has passed, it seems a good time to give this idea some serious thought.  Think about who YOU are as a fan and who WE are as a community --not just the CVD, but the entire fanbase.  Who do we look up to, that would be the ideal leaders for such a council?  What should be their mandate?  Would you want to participate in a democracy, or would you be content to go with the flow?

Let the discussion begin.

I would like to participate in a democracy, but it depends on who else is willing to contribute. I think members such as Sindra would provide a good start, but it seems more than half the fan base is just willing to go with the flow. However we do have a good group of knowledgeable fans, both here and at the Chapel. But we'll see how things pan out.

I nominate Gunlord as leader, because you can't really refuse Gunlord anything.

I also nominate knightmere as spokesman, because he can threaten to BREAK KONAMI LIKE A FUCKIN' TWIG if talks go nowhere.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure how this would work. Companies tend to make decisions based on trends via what people purchase, rather than united fan demands. Trends and demographics rule the day. Still, it's not bad to have extra conversation between fans.

I will agree to be your godking if you provide me with four medium sized virgins and a tub full of french dressing.
