Assuming that the Lords of Shadow sequel does happen, what characters and bosses would you like to see in the game? Any ideas on how they could be portrayed so that they fit with the LoS mythology? Any aspects about the original versions that must be present?
In my scenarios, I'm assuming that LoS2 has Dracula be the "hero" vs. Satan and that it takes place after the epilogue of LoS in the modern day. I haven't defeated the Forgotten One yet, so forgive me if a speculation is out of place.
For a couple of starters, I'd be happy if Stella and Loretta could make an appearance. Since they're vampires, I'd assume they wouldn't be Dracula's enemies (unless they come up with something) and are not fought. But I wouldn't mind seeing them as NPCs, perhaps among Dracula's top lieutenants in the Vampire sect. I'd throw out the whole Brauner and Eric Lecarde thing and say that they were Dracula's first "victims" and consider him their father, in the same way Laura considered Carmilla her "mother". Having the "Rosen Maiden" eyes would be a nice nod to the original designs, but not absolutely necessary.
For a boss, I'd like to see Dario. Put him in a biker jacket or something, with flames on the back. This could be his human form as he acts as an agent for Satan, but when you fight him (perhaps a second form), he'd morph into a full fledge Aguni fire demon. Dmitrii could also appear as an agent of Satan.

That Dario idea is awesome. However, I have a feeling that LoS2 won't be directly after the epilogue. I get the feeling that it will take place after the Ressurection DLC (the one with the forgotten one) and that the epilogue cutscene is where they intend to take this storyline. I think that LoS2 will be something like what happens in between. That being said, I would like to see Slogra as a boss. After all, in the epilogue scene, we see Slogra's corpse at the bottom of the tower. It's possible that Gabula killed it.
Also, I do remember reading on this forum that a sequel is in the making and is planned to come out in 3 years.

I think Legion would be an excellent boss, and I expect The One Who Is Many to appear sooner or later. Also, Frankenstein's Creature is pretty much a given at some point. I'd also like to see HoD's Pazuzu (he predates Satan mythology-wise). Lets not forget Medusa, and mmmaybe Galamoth.
I think I can handle 1 more "Titan" fight, only if it's Beelzebub. Anything else would be overkill, stop paying homage to SotC it has nothing to do with CV.
LoS2 has Dracula be the "hero" vs. Satan
i'll never get used to this
-
speaking of Titan fights, Legion would make an incredibly gross Titan fight. Imagine having to scale layers of dead bodies in order to get to the core.
Also, considering that the same bosses keep recurring over and over again in Castlevania games despite being killed, there's no reason for dead characters not to return in a sequel.
-
Like Darkwzrd, I dont think LOS2 will take place after the epilouge but after the Resurrection DLC, maybe a couple hundred years or so. I would like to see Dracula at the hight of his reign instead of the nerfed prince of darkness we saw in the epilouge. With that said here's the enemies I would like to see:
Love to see Legion in the sequel, it would look down right gruesome with Mercurysteam's art direction, hell it should have been the boss at the land of the dead instead of the Dracolith Titan, especially considering how many zombies they tried to fit onscreen, I was half expecting Legion to show up.
Ax armors are a must and not the shockwave club armors but the ax tossing kind.
Frankensteines creature is a possibility since he was apparently a busy guy in LOS, he may have created one more secret experiment locked away in the castle somewhere.
There are many more I wanna list down but dont have the time but I hope Mercurysteam study's the large numbers of monsters in Castlevania's bestiary and try to impliment them into their world without giving them a radical facelift (looking at you TFO)

If I thought that they were planning on making many sequels for Lords of Shadow, I would think LoS2 would take place after Resurrection. Right now, I'm only expecting them to be considering one sequel, so I'm expecting it to be after the prologue in the modern day. Maybe I'll change my mind after finishing Resurrection or hear more about MS's plans for the franchise. That's not to say I'm "hoping" it to be in the modern era and fought by Dracula. It seems to make it more difficult for traditional Castlevania enemies to appear, as Werewolves, Vampires, and Undead wouldn't likely be fighting for Satan. I could imagine all kinds of demonic beasties that appeared in previous CV games that you could fight, but it'd be missing a major part of the formula. Not to mention the modern setting makes it feel even less like a Castlevania game. But I wouldn't mind that setting just this once if they were done after that and then returned to creating games in the normal timeline again.
Yeah, if it took place after Resurrection, Slogra is a must. It would be a shame if Frankenstein's monster didn't make an appearance given all the references to the good doctor.

2 titan/collosus battles...
Galamoth and Beezlebub
Slogra and Gaibon!

While I like the idea of Legion being a boss, I don't think that a titan battle would work. At least not if it was like the three titan battles of LoS. Now then, if it was similar to the ogre battle, it would be a different story. I think a battle against Legion should be a platforming one. It would require jumping from platform to platform to attack each section while dodging the free corpses that were a part of the shell. Some could be exploding like the ones in the CoD battle. The style of the battle would also depend on what Gabula's combat system is like. It's just to me, the way of the titan battles were in LoS were annoying and shouldn't be used anymore. Besides, Gabula's new skill set (whatever it may be) might not be conducive for that kind of battle. This also assumes that we will be playing as him in the sequel, which I'm hoping for. Regardless of who we will be playing as, titan battles that involve crawling all over the boss and smashing magic seals should not be used ever again and forgotten.

Not Titan battles.
Real answers: Death (none of this regular enemy "reaper" shit), Paula Abghoul/ Fred Askare (with those names), Dracula (yeah I know, fat chance)... Some big knight guys (as there are a lot of them, but preferably good ol' Axe Knights)... Carmilla (in her big crying mask/skull form), Zapf Bat (recent Castlevania games have always had fucking pathetic excuses for Treasury areas, hope LoS2 rectifies this), Galamoth (no Titan shit plz), those awesome guys riding on half of a horse, Angel Mummy (those long-spined wall-bound skeleton dudes from Belmont's Revenge), Behemoth (would be awesome if he came apart like in CV64), FLEA MEN, Slogra and Gaibon (preferably under Death/Zobek's service), but most of all, more Undead or otherwise ghostly shit.
They killed off the NPCs I liked in the first one, so there isn't anywhere to go really, unless they haphazardly resurrect a few. (Except Claudia, fuck that bitch and her incessant nagging.)

I want to see Slogra and Gaibon, but I really want to see Medusa and the Medusa heads

If we are talking about npcs I want Renon back he could be very interesting (hell fighting a merchant from hell is an awesome concept why not do it again).

Oh yeah! He'd be pretty cool.
Sort of off topic but I realized that his demon form looks a hell of a lot like Cumulo and Nimbar from Belmont's Revenge... just unstuck from a wall and with wings.
-
Definately Medusa! She was great in LoI and I'm sure MS could do some great stuff with her design. I really hope she's back in the next game.
Death and Galamoth would be good too obviously. Also...I may be alone here but I think the Dancing Ghosts from CV4 could be pretty cool. I always thought the idea of them was creepy and unique and again I bet MS could really do some neat things with them.

Not enough Succubi in LoS imo. I need some eye candy. :P

Needs moar Fog!
For the Love of God, its 2000 frikken 11, Konami!, PUT IN MEDUSA HEADS!

What it needs is some Tikoloshe or tokoloshe (creepy little freaks)

The Legion idea is awesome.
I'd like to see some classic bosses like Medusa, The (real) Creature, Behemoth, etc.
I'd really want to see Abaddon too, loved that boss in DOS/POR.

I wholeheartedly support the idea of more monsters from different cultures. Provided it isn't a repeat of LOL ANIME MAIDS WITH VACUUM.

Like the legion idea, but would like it somewhat expanded.
My idea goes like this.
While walking the castle, Gabula looks up, on the ceiling sees the bulging lower mass of legion, like a great ass sitting on a toilet seen from underneath. It is a creature of what must be grotesque proportions, covered in the bodies of the condemned dead, allowed to exist on the mortal plane within the castle walls, for here one may say they walk in the land of the dead and of the living.
Suddenly, an eye appears in the middle of the encircled mass. It stares as Gabula, and he stares back. Gabula, eyes locked on creature, kneels slowly. Then, placing his hand on the ground, power builds up in a circle beneath him. With a jolt he's flying strait up, willing himself faster and faster. Shooting strait up like an arrow, trailed by dark power, he unsheathes his sword. Aiming it strait up, he becomes a spear, blasting through the creatures eye, burning through at least sixty feet of corpses surrounded by white hot flames.
Finally breaking through, he lands on the inside of the creature. In the middle of this hallow space is a great and bulging pulsating brain with multiple eyes. Extending to the brain are massive tenticles, all leading to the outer shell of bodies, extending into masses of veins spreading out everywhere. Taking this all in, Gabula feels a touch, and just manages to keep from being bitten and devoured by a decaying zombie.
Anyhoo, you get the point. instead of fighting legion on the outside, he fight the creature on it's inside, running around cutting its tentacles off one by one, while being chased by naked zombies. You could even have fissures and inner tentacles that squirt acid at him in a circler pattern, which he would likewise have to avoid by following it's movements like in its 2D appearances. Eventually, cutting enough tentacles, you get the eyebrain to fall, and then you have to kill that. They should have it attack you like a giant Beholder. Would be cool.
We've fought legion the old way too many times to count. Time to mix it up a bit.

True dat. It just kinda floats there.
I'd love a Beelzebub fight where you whack him for a while, doing his typical fly-summoning stuff... then he breaks out of his chains and chases you around. He could stick his limbs through walls sort of like the Ogre in LoS, and you'd attack him, getting him mad enough to break the wall down and chase you further, all the while becoming more enraged/dismembered. (On second thought, flies should be ambushing you all the while.)
Also with your Legion idea, not only is it badass, but it strongly reminds me of Gradius or something like Salamander/Life Force (all them organic levels), which is awesome in itself.

My idea goes like this....
I'd like to see that battle.
Another boss battle I wouldn't mind seeing in 3D would be the Wallman battle. I imagine it would require a lot of interaction with the environment, somewhat in line with how the Evil Butcher battle went. I imagine whenever the Wallman hides inside the wall, you have to fend off magical tomes that come flying off the shelf. Then while you're concentrating on fending them off, Wallman tries to sneak up on you. There would be also some potions that both you or Wallman could utilize and you'd kind of have to fight for them.

If we are talking about big battles how about Adramelech from circle of the moon or a guess boss from a different game because I want a match between east vs west in the form of Dracula Vs Ryukotsuki it's a fireball fest with awesome music, transformations and the destruction of property what else could one want in big match between to evil demons and the last one is a simple one but at the same time interesting. How about the shadows themselves how do you fight against shadows or at the least shadow monsters like in link's awakening.
-
Cerberus
Necromancer
Twin zombie dragons
Abaddon
Doppelganger
Giant Skeleton from CV64
Chainsaw Frankenstein
Queen spider
Hydra
Harpy
Possessed painting (brauner)
Mummy
Kraken
Cthulhu

Good choice on Ryukotsuki. It's almost as if they made him the new final boss in Castlevania anyways. Those two have to square off.

Y'know, I just had a thought yesterday. If we DO end up playing as Gabeula, he should have some kind of unholy counterpart to the Vampire Killer, maybe a chain-whip-sword (so his would be an upside down Combat Cross. GEDDIT). They've taken creative liberties with the story anyway, and this way not only would some future Dracula battle fill the requisite "evil rival character that fights sorta like you" checkbox, but they wouldn't have to abandon the whip combat/grappling/swinging that makes it unique, not to mention hearkening back to his origins.
Also, it should be revealed that Zobek is not actually Death but the Graveyard Duck. I'd kill to hear Patrick Stewart say, "Here's a silk bag. It will help you live longer."

Eligor would make a pretty epic fight. You know, a enormous mechanical centaur fully armed. Badass.
I'd like to see a Behemoth run too, like in RoB. Would kick ass in 3D.
Beelzebuth would make a perfect TFO like in LoI. With 200% more flies.
Legion is definitively needed.

The Mammoth Bull Demon from Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness was actually Behemoth in 3D. How would you like to see it different in this game? More of a chase through the corridors?
That reminds me, it looks like they were originally going to have a 3D chase scene in Castlevania: Resurrection. Sonia was going to be chased by a giant snakes.

Go to around 2:40 this is how it would happen but of course more awesome since behemoth is well a behemoth not a little spider.
